Hey I’m Josh from Adelaide, South Australia. I'm a proud father of 3 and passionate about heavy music.
I was the bass player for post-hardcore/alternative rock group Capulet from 2004-2012, releasing an album, EP and several demos.
Capulet were signed to Red Bull and the Taperjean Music Group alongside Closure in Moscow and The Mission in Motion.
Highlights of my music career were playing with amazing bands like Anberlin, Emery, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Haste the Day, Awaken I Am, and touring Australia several times.
I wasn’t the most technical bass player, but lived for performing on stage. I have always loved the process of song writing and the visual art that accompanies music.

I always found an old Coldplay vibe to this song. In the melody, the chords progression, etc

For me this is the best song ever written! The depth of the lyrics and the way they are delivered for me is unmatched and then the overall composition and production of the song is flawless, and then theres ii just going ham on the drums but not over playing, everything he does fits and adds even more body and intricacy to the song! Incredible.

I don't know much about Loathe but all the comparisons people make between them and Sleep Token makes me want to check them out. Funny enough Sleep Token and Loathe actually made a song together.
It's actually just a cover of loathes is it really you, You should definitely start there and listen to two way mirror as well. Also heavy deftones vibes

As soon as the chorus hits huge huge Fightstar vibes with Deftones. I felt the hairs on my forearms stand up when I did my review 2 years ago an absolute masterpiece of a track

This song is so highly underrated. Its one of my favorites. Hell, they're almost all my favorites🤣 but this ones at the tippy top🤣.
Its hard to get my husband into my kind of music because hes more of a grungy dude. But I now have my husband in the house listening to sleep token with headphones on. My husband doesn't do that.. so I know its very serious🤣. Its also weird that my husband requests sleep token in the car everywhere we go. I mean, daily. Its just not like him so its awesome to see him really into them too. Im amazed at how much we listen to them and still don't get tired of any of the songs. And we've been a fan for a bit.
Fun fact: big part of why elements sound a lot like Loathe is due to a shared producer! His name is George Lever, he’s on YT too and honestly it’s super insightful! I just got on this song today and WOWWWWW
Straight-up Deftones vibes on this track. This could easily be Chino singing on Diamond Eyes or Koi No Yokan.

At first, I was convinced that there was something supernatural going on with Sleep Token. I mean, it's all that made sense! However, anybody else notice how closely they follow with the whole contemporary 'worship' thing? They employ so many techniques that these big contemporary Christian bands use to induce a near trance-like state in their 'worship' services. Heck, ST even uses the term 'worship'! When I first realized the technique they're using, I was kinda bummed because.... Well.... It's not supernatural at all, is it? It's perfectly natural. All of it. And it's this knowledge that makes me respect them even more than before.

Each time a cell divides, the telomeres become slightly shorter. Eventually, they become so short that the cell can no longer divide successfully, and the cell dies.

Nothing at all against you cause I love your reaction channel, but as an OG Deftones fan it annoys the hell out of me when Loathe gets name dropped on songs inspired by Deftones. Deftones worked their asses off for 25 years to create this unique sound that Loathe is getting the credit for now in modern metal. Just my angry two cents pay no mind to me lol
Hey Miguel, I’m 36 and listened to a lot of Deftones from Around the Fur, and I feel there is a big difference in the vibes of deftones and loathe, and believe me, I prefer the deftones vibe!
@@Roguenjosh I’m 37 my man we’re about the same, I got into them on Adrenaline though so I was about 10 years old. I think Loathe just took what Deftones did and turned up the shoegaze a bit more but Two way mirror borrows HEAVILY from Sextape and Is it really you borrows from Pink Maggit. I love the band but I really don’t see the uniqueness other people do. That’s just me and my own personal opinion though and I don’t expect people to agree with me Loathe is an amazing band anyways. Keep the reactions coming brother, a Deftones influenced band I haven’t seen you react to is Vexes, they dropped a double album last year and it was amazing. If you like Deftones, Thrice, Circa Survive I highly recommend checking them out

@@Roguenjosh I think you’ll really dig them, I would start with Low Choices or The dream disease. They’re independent and self produced both of their albums but production is amazing.
Nah, Two Way Mirror is overhyped. I like the song, but it’s my least favorite song on that album. It feels like it’s ambient for the sake of being ambient.
