I really think the big manufacturers like B&M could learn from companies like Gerstlauer. They arent repeating the same trick again and again, theyre constantly building unique coasters with unique elements.
What a genius concept letting the ride go forward or backward, and letting the riders vote. If I were in charge of the Golden Ticket awards, this thing might get might vote for the best new ride of 2019, simply because the concept is genius.
Love fury also prefer backwards. Really enjoyed standing in line and the person behind me started hyping up the backwards vote, really building up the suspense. And than that moment the turntable starts to turn and we all break out cheering for winning the vote. Great memory.
I love Bobbejaanland, i grew up with this park. It has been a yearly family trip since 2003/2004. I remember when i was little there were no real 'thrill rides'. I think fury is a great addition to the park! I did it the first time on sunday. I only got to do it backwards and i liked it a lot! Still not a big fan of launch coasters tho 😅 i guess my body just can't handle the thrills cause eventho i enjoyed fury a lot i got really really sick 😂😂

Don't be to sure about it...it went from the first owner (bobbejaan schoepen)to his son ( when bobbejaan schoepen died) and after that his son gave the park to new owners (from the netherlands i think) and after that they gave it to spanish owners so im not sure what to think about it....back in the day i love to go there, it whas a fammily park (schoepes WORK) and now they try to add up thrill rides like this to atract more teens and adults.......so yea if this isnt working its game over trust me 😉

Little fact about El Paso. It was designed by the same people who designed Pirate Adventure, Space Leisure. They also designed The Haunting, Golden Nugget Shoot Out, and Doom & Sons building facade.
Revolution.. the best ride out of my youth.. with the space theme, the synthesizer music, the original double projection of the clock (top and bottom) without that "recent" affects like LED's and the VR... I remember it from every school trip: ride after ride, after ride,... but then dispute in vision between dad Bobbejaan and his sons let it waste for couple of years without upgrading it... BUT it's the only one in the world still in operation, that's also not bad... The fireshow.. nice - like I'm back in 1997-2001 @(ex-)Zillion !
Sadly the indoor water ride near King Kong was closed. I used to help the operator of that ride. If I recall correctly though, it only opened in the afternoon.
Typhoon looked terrible except for one thing -- that Schwarzkopf-esque loop structure! Love the way that looks! (edit) so I just read that Typhoon now operates where Looping Star once stood. Maybe they re-used the Looping Star's loop structure to save money! ;)
Typhoon got some new wheels last year and it runs much smoother now. If you ever go back, I suggest riding typhoon in the backrow. It's a lot of fun and pretty smooth!
Did you ride Forbidden Caves? (The immersive tunnel ride) It is pretty cool but didn't see it in the video (Havent watched it fully yet) because it is pretty cool!
Watching these vlogs makes you realise how desperately Alton Towers needs more flat rides and dark rides. I know we all love our coasters but a few different additions would be great.
Alton towers in general is complete dog shite. Constant break down. Long waiting times and ridiculous height restrictions making it rubbish for small kids. Dont get me started on Rapids might as well be lazy river and they have just increased height restrictions 😂 so my girl was able to go on last year but cant this year even though shes older and taller 😂 what a joke
I was here in 1979 or 80 on a Texan rodeo with Bill Dougans sons . Anyone with any footage or photos it woud be amazing. My bull actually escaped and was captured near the funfair.
Second longest train ever, there used to be a coaster of the same type (Vekoma Illusion if you're wondering) with 40 cars. Revolution has 30. The other one was Chaos, don't remember where.
Bobbejaanland...great for a visit once in five years. I think it still misses some good solid rides. Funny detail is that Kinderland was a vaccinationcentre during the COVID pandemic. Had my third shot overthere 🤣
I really enjoyed the footage of Revolution. I’m surprised it looks just like Chaos. I thought I read that they changed the themeing of the ride, I guess they changed it back. Hopefully I’ll get to ride it someday. #RIPOpryland
8:30 I agree, but I enjoyed The Smiler! I know i got front row for my only ride, which was very lucky, but the first 10 inversions were so enjoyable and the heartline roll out of the station gave excellent hangtime. The second airtime hill was also very good. It was my favourite coaster at the park (barely beating out an excellent midday back row ride on Wicker Man.)

Great review on Fury, I agree with your view and was very surprised by how good it was. The park really needed this addition and they have done it well.

Just rewatched this vlog after visiting the park today. Fury is still very good, but it has picked up a nasty rattle. Rumour has it that Indiana River and the surrounding area will be completely overhauled and rethemed over the next winter. The park has tested several possible new themes through a customer survey.

when you go on fury, the left side is always forwards, when you go to the right side, you can you choose backwards or forwards!!!

Grand National at Pleasure Beach is fun in the rain. Wouldn't wanna ride anything too intense in the rain though.
