I walked into Wild West Guitars around 2017. I was looking for local stores at the time, I had become very tired of my local GC. The staff there were SUPER nice and the selection made it perfectly clear I was in a store far above my purchasing power, multiple NAMM fenders, Suhr's, Gibsons, and some cool MusicMan basses too.

I think it’s more comfortable than most. Dead weight like a vintage sg, but with a les Paul natural body. Plus, the best ones had the harmonica bridges. The more valuable tune o matic that was discontinued simply because it didn’t “look” good enough. Pretty much a les Paul lite with all the specs that matter and none that don’t with a much cheaper price tag. Before they did the “the Paul” reissue, you could find late 70s models for under a grand all damn day. Then they released the reissue. A horrible one that didn’t have a time period accurate headstock, poor choice of electronics, standard tune o matic, incorrect type of fretboard, and on top of it, it was 1,400$-1,600$. Which of course, caused all owners of the vintage models to change their prices from 600$-1,100$, to 1,400$-2,000$+. Pretty much like a collector jacking off a dead artist because of their name. Which is highly disrespectful to their legacy and history. FYI, selling a 5150 for 2500$ just because Eddie died is f*cked up.

I swear Gibson is scouring the used market for the highest asking price (asking, not selling), and if there are offers made, they remake the guitar in the listing, as close as they can without it being an actual remake, and smack a big ole price tag on it... It's working for em'. If they do this, it might even bring down the used market prices if they do it enough, lol. I say flood the market, Gibson.

I believe that a long scale Les Paul would not sound the same.
The Gibson scale makes chords sound as a chord, where as chording on a Fender scale, you hear the individual notes .
I just have a Les Paul, and a Tele , both scale lengths are super nice.
But I would not want a long scale Les Paul.
Don't mess with a good thing.
