I just started fishing a shallow lake (deepest water I’ve found is maybe 9-10ft, average depth around 5-6ft) and it has a lot of pads. I heard it was a good crappie lake but on my first visit recently I had no luck. What is your technique when you fish the pads? Do you fish mid-depth or do a little off the bottom? I’ve heard some people say the crappie will be about mid-depth under the pads, some say they will only be a foot or two deep, and some say they will be closer to the bottom. What have you found the case to be? And I enjoyed the video
@@crappieliteoutdoors4942 I have not. I have never fished Sardis. Plan on fishing it before the year is out and maybe fish the marina dockshooting. Have the canals in Horseshoe been productive for you?

I grew up fishing on Horseshoe Lake outside of Hughes, Arkansas. Is this the same lake ? There are a few Horseshoe Lakes.
