The story of Balaam is first mentioned in the book of Numbers in chapters 22 to 24. Take some time to read these chapters to understand the context. The story revolves around Balak, the king of Moab, asking Balaam to curse Israel for a reward. Israel was on their way to the promised land and was moving through the Moabite territory. Balaam was a wicked prophet, and scripture explains that Balaam heard from God and spoke as the Lord asked him to, but his heart was not right with God.

Yes, indeed like you said, "Be God Centered."
    Why?
Because Man is God so how possibly can you hurt a divine human being once you have come to this spiritual realization.

@endofthematter Do you believe God was testing Balaam’s heart when he told him to go with the men in Numbers 22:20 but then was angry on verse 22? This part confused me a bit.

Thank you for this excellent explanation. The issue of Balaam has been a puzzle to me. Now I see clearer why he is portrayed so negatively in Scripture. I am subscribing to your channel.

It has nothing to do with idol worship. It’s race mixing. Read the account for yourself.
God literally flooded the earth because of it.
      He separated nations at Babel.
He blessed Phinehas for killing a Moabite and an Israelite while they were having sex.
      I could go on
It seems this guys parents have committed race mixing.
They’ve gone the way of balaam.
