What a lovely documentary of this season of your life. I'm also a thru-hiker (PCT 2019) and I have often thought someday I'd like to try a van adventure! I love that you had more of a structure and goal to your travels - that seems like a good strategy to feel like you're not wandering aimlessly. Thanks for keeping it real about the highs and lows. There's so much joy in living a a simple, low-cost life that leaves room for nature and adventure :) Happy trails and happy travels!

Great video! I was not born in the USA but lived here for more then 20 years now. I agree, it is a very unique place not just because of the diversity in landscapes but diversity of people. Where I was born we have a motto….”Out of Many One People” and it should be the motto for the whole world. One Love ❤️

We sold our ocean view house and most everything in it, without any regrets. On a very small pension and the money from our house sale, we are having our best life. The road has taken us to some of the most amazing places. Thanks for being so honest. We are in our 70s and still plan to have our best travel years ahead of us. Keep on travelling, if you love it, Be safe.

What can I say? Well there are a lot of unique and beautiful pieces in your videos but, most of all what really draws me to your videos is that it's kinda unfiltered and you really put out what you're truly experiencing during your journey. I share a lot of similar passions in life and maybe would be able to do what you're doing someday. Also, I should say that you're one very strong lady who really dares to do things as she wishes that's admirable. Wonderful Video Maddie!! Don't worry you will NOT look back on turning 30 as doing something silly. You will look back and say I wish I had all that time, freedom and energy to make all these exciting choices. I'm 52 now and travelled much of the world in my 20's and 30's. And though I still hike, travel and recently bought another (micro) Van then promptly hit a kangaroo and will be without the Van until May/June, life does get in the the way a bit differently in your 40s and 50s than it does in your 20s and early 30s. Thanx for sharing and bringing back many memories 🇦🇺. Esp of when I was in Canada 🇨🇦 and USA. You did Good👍👍you made USA look Amazing!!.🇺🇲

Hey, Maddie! I think your van life video is how I discovered your channel and I’m just now watching this one. You hiked in Hocking Hills in Ohio! I’ve been there, it’s two hours from my house! Jewelweed is the antidote to poison ivy. Poison ivy soap with jewelweed in it was a life saver for me this year. Looking forward to your next AT video, or other video of yours that comes up for me!
I lived in my Prius from June to October 2021 traveling around the west. If you ever start living in a van again may I suggest buying a 2 gallon pump sprayer from Walmart in the garden section? I painted mine black and filled it with whatever water source was near. I took many showers in deep woods without anyone around with Dr. Bronner's soap. I also would find an empty park that had a handicap bathroom stall for my sprayer shower. They have floor drains and I'd fill my sprayer from the sink. A gallon Ziploc bag makes a nice container to fill from a short bathroom sink. 😊
Maddie, I first watched your Vlog while I was looking for smaller vehicle camper conversion ideas. Your's stood out. I encompassed many of your choices in my own build. Your vibrant personality stands out and I continued following you since. Great job on your documentary! Best of luck in the future.
Traveling around is amazing n powerful and scary all at the exact same time. I went from michigan down to Tx and doordashed my way thur parts of it and then went on thur New Mexico to Arizona last Oct to Dec and had to cut my trip short when brother in Fla went on life support all of a sudden so on to Fla and little parts of Alabama for two wks until this last January when I went to Va for a couple days then back to Michigan. I'm still here in my home state waiting for this crazy weather to start getting warm again. I have a small channel too that shows my experiences too since losing my trailer in March of 2020. My minivan and a couple of friends n family here is all I have left. I still have dreams of places I wanna travel to for this year too. Keep ur hopes and dreams alive. I enjoy watching ur video's, we have similiar outlooks , you've experienced Way More then I ever have,.you just gave me more ideas,.thank you, maybe I can visit some of those places too some day.

Loving the documentary! Through the second leg, you did frozen head state park! I’m only about 30-40 minutes from there and it is a favorite of mine and my dogs. I also loved visiting the Angel Oak tree in SC. So cool!

It seems to be a " lone wolf " situation, not what I would think, prolly for good reason, we are all different and some are just not that kind, some are crazy...oh well, ..you used the word grateful " that attitude of gratitude will see you to safe and joyful realities of this life. I think it's about changing and adapting to our surroundings and looking inside our real selves, creating a mind inner dialogue that is kind, inside, and that will allow us to see the good and kind even in a world that can be harsh..this was beautiful Maddie , i about shed a tear when you hit Wyoming..thank so much, I know putting this together was not an easy task..Dave

What was one of your favorite parts of the country? What was one of the places that resonated with you? For me the John Muir Trail and the Grand Canyon are among my favorite places.
I never know what to say for my favorite places, because it’s so dependent on the weather and what’s going on with me personally. All the places were good in their own way. Maybe South Carolina is one of my favorites because I didn’t expect how magical it would be for me 🌅💛

It seems to be a " lone wolf " situation, not what I would think, prolly for good reason, we are all different and some are just not that kind, some are crazy...oh well, ..you used the word grateful " that attitude of gratitude will see you to safe and joyful realities of this life. I think it's about changing and adapting to our surroundings and looking inside our real selves, creating a mind inner dialogue that is kind, inside, and that will allow us to see the good and kind even in a world that can be harsh..this was beautiful Maddie , i about shed a tear when you hit Wyoming..thank so much, I know putting this together was not an easy task..Dave

Beautiful video! The beginning was very trippy and enjoyable. Thank you for sharing your adventures, including the high points and the not so high points. What was one of your favorite parts of the country? What was one of the places that resonated with you? For me the John Muir Trail and the Grand Canyon are among my favorite places.
I never know what to say for my favorite places, because it’s so dependent on the weather and what’s going on with me personally. All the places were good in their own way. Maybe South Carolina is one of my favorites because I didn’t expect how magical it would be for me 🌅💛
