I think Seether's success lies in the fact that they are a down to earth bunch and aren't striving to be big and badass. They're like your older brother's band
I love Seether. I'm 64 years of age; I first saw them when I was in my 50's :-) I saw them in Hampton Beach last month, the next day I found out that they're playing in Portland, Me. in November. I shall be there. Seether is like Lays potato chips... you can't listen to just one song!
The song my wife and I danced to at our wedding 10 years ago, got some strange reactions but it was perfect for us, saw them live just before our wedding that year.
+Scott Davis personally, it's my favorite band right now. but i don't see why they're better than, let's say: five finger death punch, Metallica, system of a down, three days grace, etc...
Goose bumps, every time I listen to this song. It just makes me want to run through the streets blasting this glorious song and letting everyone experience their brilliant music. Live life, tonight.
I love how this song is basically a giant thank you to all of the Seether Fans. This really shows how Shaun Morgan and the others really care about their fans, and not just their fame in general, or the money gained by the songs. Even if Rock isn't as popular a genre as it was, Seether is going places.
I was at a acoustic set seethe and sick puppies put on about ten years ago. sick puppies hung out and signed autographs. seethe played their 3 song set and left
In 2011, when this song and album came out, I struggled with confidence and decided to join the U.S. Navy. This song and a few other off the HoTSBLtF album played on the way to boot camp. 11 years later, it still holds a place in my heart.
So proud that such an amazing band like this comes from South Africa 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦 with amazing lyrics with suck content behind each line "Like Sugar and Cyanide, these world are going to collide."
It's weird like..."Do your best and enjoy life, but don't lose yourself. Remember to keep those you love and who love you close." Thats exactly how I see this song and it speaks volumes to me.
I've been listening to these guys for years n years n years !!!!! Still till this day...THEY ROCK!!! THEY WILL ALWAYS BRING US MUSIC WE CAN ROCK OUT TOO 🤘💯🤘💯🤘💯🤘💯🤘💯
This entire album has got me through some serious shit. But this one right here, gets me through them all. 🖤 “ for my entertainment you tell a whimsical lie, to keep me complacent you knock me down with a smile. “ god damn if that doesn’t get me every time. Lyrical fucking genius.
This is why I love Sirius XM Octane. They played Disturbed - The Sound of Silence and this back to back. I was already at my house, but I didn't want to get out of my car. I was listening to all the good music
I’ve had this song stuck in my head lately. I remember meeting you guys on my 16th birthday. I was too shy to say anything that night. Wish I had spoken up back then. Still have the shirt you all signed for me. It’s framed.
Can't believe I only just got in to this song from the radio a month or so ago. Such an amazing fucking song. Seether never fails to amaze me. They are far beyond the vast wave of rock bands coming out these days.
I just returned from these dudes live show and guess what? They were completely kick ass! *watch?v=fKTYND_4x2U* Superb, ah??? Be certain to youtube that video
50 years from now, I'm gonna look back and always remember Seether and how their music always made me feel so alive tonight. You made it. You're one of the greats now 😊
All their music is like the narrative of my life. They have an amazing range of songs, moods, and feelings. I get depressed and I listen to The Gift. I get angry and I listen Fucc It and when I need inspiration I listen to Tonight and Rise Above This
please, please ,please . Come back to rapid city. We love you . Live in Casper, WY. now but would go a thousand miles to see you come back to Rapid. We miss you and love you.
I remember when Edge first retired from wrestling they played this at his retirement as a video of his career and when he got into the WWE Hall of Fame the next year.
“If I was to die tonight Would it tear you apart? Would you yell it from the rooftops, down Until it’s over and you’re older?” I’ve been a volunteer firefighter for 6 years from 17 to 23 years old. It may be the chaos of what happened or the cries of a family member losing their son, husband, daughter, mother. Jeeez. I was in an accidental Seether mood tonight. I had song lyrics stuck in my head, and like any normal person, I looked them up. First it was Fine Again, and then this song. And those were the only songs in my head.
Best fucking song in the world!! When I first saw seether live on Conan singing this jam so perfectly ...I swear it was like a revelation 4 me #longliveseether!!!!!!!!!!! #Seetherforprez
Personally, I always reply to those kinds of people that just because we have a lot more crappy music now doesn't mean that we don't also have more good music. We have a greater total quantity of music, because the internet allows anybody anywhere in the world to find an audience anywhere else in the world if they're good enough. Also, every generation has been told by every previous generation that their generation destroyed music since music became a thing.
This song is for my nephew Lucas Adrian Dunnahoo. He died day after Thanksgiving, November 22, 2012 motherfuck it’s been a long time I still miss you. He had been returned, 21 in August ,never been in love , had only shaved once I hope he’s resting in peace. UNCLE BASS LOVES YOU
Saw them in Myrtle Beach, SC early this year in February. They were amazing, for some reason after I saw them I kinda went down on them a bit, but I tend to do that to any band, but Shinedown. I'm back to them now and want to see them again. This song was awesome live and this is one of my favorites from them. It's weird though Shaun was set up on the very left instead of the middle, that was the first band I've ever seen do that with the lead singer.
The Frenching Fry Papa Roach was head lining. I went for Seether... I had already seen Papa Roach the year before anyway. it was Islander, Kyng, Seether and Papa Roach.
Seether should have went platnum number 1 for years now one of the most faithful rock bands any one will ever listen to 90% of there songs touch every emotion I have and love it
There's just something about this song that just sends chills up my spine but in a good way I love Seether, and this song really freakin' rocks badass!
2024 anyone
Damn straight!
hey there buddy
I don't get why this song wasn't a massive hit. This song is amazing and definitely one of Seether's strongest ones.
It was. My local radio station played it a ton
All the girls from Pietermaritzburg flash their titties at the Seether boys when they come to town - its a massive hit
My favorite seether song
And fine again
I agree with you
This guy comes across stage gives my 9 yo his pick. She’s 19 now, she never forgot and still loves Seether today.
Thats awesome!
Amazing memory
That's so cool!
Shaun reached over and gave me his pick and then kissed my hand! Damn I don't feel so special anymore 😂
They brought a kid on stage and had him pick the guitar. Awesome
a message to future generations. don't let this song die.
I won't :)
I'm new here so it won't die anytime soon
The anthem of my life. Mad respect to anyone who is still listening to this masterpiece.
Me!

Yes! I just saw them last summer. So so great live!!
We all in. This together either way 🤘
🤟👍❤️
Yes
And with that, Seether shoot right up to my top 5 favourite bands. These guys are criminally underrated.
Agreed. One of my favorite bands from the past 20 years. So many good songs. Music is great, lyrics are great and it doesn't all sound the same.
very fucking true.
I don't understand why people hate Nickelback, but they sound like a heavier Nickelback, and that's awesome. :P
I agree!! really love their music.
Oh yeah, right along with Chevelle.
I think Seether's success lies in the fact that they are a down to earth bunch and aren't striving to be big and badass. They're like your older brother's band
And most of their songs are born from pain that we all feel and relate to
You are right man
From the roots of Johannesburg! Sarongas.
3 solid musicians that actually like eachother and get on, no ego destroying it 👌
Your tweeked out older bro lol iv heard some stories about them! Lol
I love Seether. I'm 64 years of age; I first saw them when I was in my 50's :-) I saw them in Hampton Beach last month, the next day I found out that they're playing in Portland, Me. in November. I shall be there. Seether is like Lays potato chips... you can't listen to just one song!
Coal chamber
I’m 56 and listen to a lot of 80’s rock. But when I heard this song I had to find out who these guys were. They rock
Great South African band
"I'm sick of complaining about a beautiful life" That's a great line to live by
The song my wife and I danced to at our wedding 10 years ago, got some strange reactions but it was perfect for us, saw them live just before our wedding that year.
I'd consider that an unforgettable wedding
If you want to hear damn good music, you simply can't ignore Seether. These songs belong in every good rock collection!😎
"If I was to die tonight
Would it tear you apart?
Would you yell it from the rooftops down?
Until it's over, and you're older"
Sean Taylor that line always gets me
How the hell is this not the #1 Band in the world?
Scott Davis no clue
Because Breaking Benjamin is making music again....these guys are 2nd best in my opinion.
*****
Great bands go outside post-grunge too like Linkin Park, Twenty One Pilots, and Green Day (I'm very musically diverse)
+Scott Davis personally, it's my favorite band right now. but i don't see why they're better than, let's say: five finger death punch, Metallica, system of a down, three days grace, etc...
+Scott Davis Because this isnt the only band in the world
Goose bumps, every time I listen to this song. It just makes me want to run through the streets blasting this glorious song and letting everyone experience their brilliant music. Live life, tonight.

Seether was on of the few of the last great bands that played real music....
I think they still are🙂
In 2011, when this song and album came out, I struggled with confidence and decided to join the U.S. Navy. This song and a few other off the HoTSBLtF album played on the way to boot camp. 11 years later, it still holds a place in my heart.

can't agree more
hell yeah where did the good music go? todays music is shit with few exceptions.
Got to agree Octane is the best
Dude but dude sound of silence played by disturbed sounds like shit compared to the original.
pfft yeah right. they're both equally awesome. plus, you shouldnt be talking anyways. you made that shitty movie adaption of the last air bender.
I’ve had this song stuck in my head lately. I remember meeting you guys on my 16th birthday. I was too shy to say anything that night. Wish I had spoken up back then. Still have the shirt you all signed for me. It’s framed.
One of the best bands in the world; hands down!
Can't believe I only just got in to this song from the radio a month or so ago. Such an amazing fucking song. Seether never fails to amaze me. They are far beyond the vast wave of rock bands coming out these days.
Um....you mean Seether ALWAYS amazes you?
Lawrence Mitchell Yeah I worked that wrong. Haha I'm a derp. Meant "fails" not "seems".
eggsaladactyl the way you said it still made sense. It's like saying without failure they give the goods. They never fail to amaze makes sense.

Im sick of complaining, about a beautiful life
Rock still lives generation to generation but we don't have the air play of the 90' s and 00 's.
for sure no generation could be them l..l,
Listen to The Darkness
this band is insanely bad ass i don't think i can ever get tired of their music :)
I remember when Edge first retired from wrestling they played this at his retirement as a video of his career and when he got into the WWE Hall of Fame the next year.
Man edge deserves that song to be played for his hof tribute
Seether has produced some great songs over the years one of not so many with originality , one of my favorite bands .
I’ve seen them twice in concert. Their really good.
Who's here 2021..... BECAUSE THIS SONG ROCKS
2:15 Those church bells are hauntingly brilliantly done, and I wish more rock/metal bands utilized church bells in their music.
2019 an this shit is making me miss 2013
I heard this song 10 years ago when it was used for Edge, I didn't want to rest until I found it, the world is healing
2024 we are still here!!!!!!
I want this song played at my wedding ❤😊
“If I was to die tonight
Would it tear you apart?
Would you yell it from the rooftops, down
Until it’s over and you’re older?”
I’ve been a volunteer firefighter for 6 years from 17 to 23 years old. I revisited this song from my teen years and this line hit me like a ton of bricks. The few times I’ve experienced it, it’s always been an eerie feeling seeing the death of someone you don’t know. Obviously you care, another human has passed, but you still have a job to do and you push those feelings down. Sometimes when you get home, or two days later it hits you. It may be the chaos of what happened or the cries of a family member losing their son, husband, daughter, mother. Seeing a person lose their closest loved ones and seeing their world fracture into tiny pieces. It never leaves you. Sometimes it’s the guilt that you could have done something different or better to maybe have changed things. I just want you to know that someone out there cares about you more than know, whether it’s a family member or a complete stranger. If you were to die tonight, it would tear someone’s world apart.
I wish a peaceful rest to those who didn’t make it and comfort to those who remain.
May their memories live on.
Heavy thoughts
can feel the south african sound in his voice!!!! rock is not dead!!!
Wish they'd still play this one live. Saw them twice in 2017 and no luck.
This song right here, will bring me out of a funk anytime. Seether has always had great meaning behind their lyrics, and this is one of the best.
I love this song. Discovering new bands everyday feels so great.
Welcome to Seether. I hope you find other works written and performed by Shaun Morgan are amazing as well.
The Frenching FryI'll look him up, thanks!
be forewarned, seether is beautiful and may ruin some other bands for you lol
4yrs ago they played a free concert at Canalside in Buffalo..One of the Best shows I've ever seen..15,000 Crazy fans!!!
Never got to see you guys live, even when you're close, life gets in the way. But your music has followed me into the great unknown on many occasions. Gotta have surgery on your Jersey date, won't make it...but I'll be holding on to strings better left to fray until I come from the upside down...
THANK YOU!!!!! Proud to see/hear my fave band represent my fave bad guy!! Way to go Edge... you F'N deserve it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not gonna waste this
This opportunity's mine
I'm sick of complaining
About a beautiful life
How did we get here?
Did we forget all the things inside?
And how do we stay here?
Do we embrace all the things denied?
I feel so alive tonight
You got me feeling sublime
I want to yell it from the rooftops down
Until it's over, and we're older
For my entertainment
You tell a whimsical lie
To keep me complacent
You knock me down with a smile
How did we get here?
How do we pretend everything's alright?
And how do we stay here?
Do we erase all the fear inside?
I feel so alive tonight
You got me feeling sublime
I want to yell it from the rooftops down
Until it's over, and we're older
Like sugar and cyanide
These worlds are gonna collide
I want to yell it from the rooftops down
Until it's over, and we're older
So take me, but go slow
Let me hide somewhere I know
And let this seed grow
Until we finally call this home
So take me, but go slow
Let me hide somewhere I know
And let this seed grow
Until we finally call this home
If I was to die tonight
Would it tear you apart?
Would you yell it from the rooftops down?
Until it's over, and you're older
I feel so alive tonight
You've got me feeling sublime
I want to yell it from the rooftops down
Until it's over, and we're older
Like sugar and cyanide
I want to make it collide
I'm gonna yell it from the rooftops down
Till it's over, and we're older
