I agree they hit harder in American football. However, hits in rugby just seem so much more vicious and brutal.

@@itsshadbih from a player who switched from rugby to nfl. the idea is that no pads in rugby promoted good tackling technique and leads to proper hits whereas the nfl doesn't have the tackling technique down as well because they have the safety of pads. also for your information what makes rugby so captivating is that its 80 minutes of full action with one break at 40 mins. Most of the hits in this video, the players in contact will get right back up again and keep playing. They say that football (soccer) is a game where u pretend to be hurt whereas rugby is the game where u pretend not to be hurt so u can keep playing. I recommend watching a full game, if u enjoy the nfl I guarantee u will enjoy a game of rugby.
