I think that VAR needs to be handled like the TMO in Rugby Union, pause the timer while a decision is underway and all conversations between them and the referee are broadcast.
We are both relatively small clubs from places where fewer people live. Both also have premier league and championship clubs nearby and most people locally tend to support the bigger teams. Crewe's stadium capacity is about 10,000 and Crawley's is about 6,000. The attendence at Wembley was over 33,000, which is the most I've seen in person watching Crawley. From a lifelong Crawley fan's perspective, I remember the non-league days and I still feel like we are a small family club. So seeing that many people cheer on my team was insane, even with many empty seats. Here's hoping we can build on this and get a bigger stadium and plenty more people involved!
Crewe player could've been the hero and equalised but instead chose to cheat and dive for a penalty. Shame on that guy.
