I have no words to describe how I feel about this man. All Americans should look at this.
Lt. Col. Mark Weber is such an amazing man. What a tremendous example of how to live your life with a purpose and self discipline. This is who we should set before our young men as a role model. Not the Hollywood celebrities and Rock stars. This man has courage, decency, pride, and humility. He knows he has a duty in life, found it and has done his best to fulfill his duty. Thank you Mark for inspiring me and so many others.
Amen.
Amen!
Men of this integrity are why there is a United States of America and why it became a great nation.
You will not be forgotten, sir. May your soul rest in peace. God love you!
Please pray for our troops.
Tears fall freely for this amazing soldier. R.I.P.
@rgracemeihuizen8264 I totally agree with you
I just had my surgery (breast cancer) last month and now undergoing my 7-week radiation treatments. Watching his battle is giving me a new perspective about life. He had given me so much strength on how to battle my own battle. Mine is compared nothing to his. From someone who never know anything about the military life, I'm so ecstatic about you guys courage, pride, and discipline. I salute everyone in the military. I salute you, Lt. Col. Mark Weber. You will always be in my prayers.
Mari Nyb How are you Mari? Well, I hope. Your comment was beautiful and brave; one doesn't have to be a courageous soldier to be strong, stand tall, and fight the good fight,16:50,though *we love our soldiers*. In a different way we are all soldiers, standing watch at all times when we are ill. I survived(so far)a fatal disease requiring an experimental transplant/surgery that altered my entire abdomen, taking most of the organs and causing diabetes, yet I am here still. I hope you are as well. Health&Happiness to you! from a fellow traveler :)
Rest in the Peace of Christ, Lt. Col. Mark Weber. May God Bless and strengthen your family in your absence.
You fought the good fight anf you kept your faith in the midst of it all... Rest in the loving arms of God.
+Jason Rogers I didn't get anywhere in his speech he was a Christian. Bless his families heart.
+shelley annette are you really that ignorant
@@shelleyannette Seriously ??? You dissed someone for "Rest in the arms of God" ??? Seriously ???
Obviously, a WARRIOR FOR CHRIST, as well as our Country and his family! 🙏🎚🧡🇺🇸
Here is one of the highest examples of honor, giving, and selfless thinking, plus good humor!
The truth in this clip humiliates me every bit I want to stop watching buh no I cnt just as I cnt stop crying. I HATE GOODBYES N MOSTLY THE UNINVITED ONES. God bless your family, you died a hero.
Powerful words. But at 13:35 is what most don’t get. RIP Sir. RESPECT! ✊🏾
Sadly he died on June 13, 2013. He was only 41 years old.
What a powerful message. Such a humble person. God Bless his wife and sons.
What a legacy to leave to his family and the world. He is/was an amazing man.
As I watch this (for the second time and I cried both times!!), my daughter, on the other side of the country, struggles through Marine Combat Training..... a choice we were all shocked by, yet so proud. I stumbled upon this video by accident while looking up information on Marines, and I'm so glad I did. What a wonderful message for all to hear.....sailors, soldiers, Marines, airmen, even civilians. Such humility, sincerity, and strength. What a wonderful person he must have been. RIP soldier. It does my heart good to know that even three years after your passing, your message still rings true and is still being shared across the globe. You've left a wonderful legacy behind. Your family has so much to be proud of.
This is to the family,He was a strong man. He stood strong for as long as he can
Wow. His son is so brave
I just finished "Tell My Sons, by Mark. Touched me a way that I can't explain. Mark was a hero, and he and his family will remain in my thoughts for a lifetime. I will not forget him, and I will pass his knowledge onto every Soldier, friend, and family member I cross paths with. Thank you for the gift Mark. I know from the chills that you are still . looking out for the troops. MSG Fall
This is the saddest and most touching video I have ever seen!! My father was in the Army 35 years and passed away in 1972. I did not get to say goodbye. RIP Lt. Col. Weber. To his family you have my deepest condolences!!!
Susan Young
No, this is the saddest

@@jeantaylor2308 Actually, the two of them singing is much less sad than is uplifting, for a dad to share the biggest "Miss You, Nice to be Home, So Sorry For Your Illness, Sympathy, and Condolences" cards with his oldest son singing such a poignant song about his own mortality in leaving that son, his other sons, and his wife, with his imminent death !!! Nothing but praise for Colonel Weber for his coming to terms and dealing with his upcoming death in such an honorable and memorable way !! HOOAH !!
"Say thank you with your actions...live each of your days with respect for the freedoms that we hold and keep on your behalf." What an awesome, thought provoking statement. I will take it into account henceforth.
AGAIN I'M SORRY TO MISS WEBER FOR THE LOST OF YOUR HUSBAND HE IS VERY WELL MISSED AND THANKED FOR HIS SERVICE AND YOUR SON DID VERY WELL WITH THE SONG
God needed a warrior, with the spirit of all that is brave & stalwart~facing adversity & death, in awesome resolve~rest dear soldier, guard us all, God love you.
AMEN
I’m watching this 7 years after LTC Weber passing. What a strong man. He must have been an inspirational leader. What a proud family he must have. RIP sir!
I love this song. I sang it in my choir for veterans day. and last night for Memorial day. This touches my heart like none before.
"His truth is marching on"...LTC Weber helped my husband & I. We faced my Bob's cancer, battled hard & lost, sadly but with grace, dignity, faith & courage. Thanks Sir~!
This is to everyone that holds a public office. This is what we stand for.
This is the most beautiful display of human emotion I have seen! God bless LTC Weber! What an honorable Man, a loved one's presence is never far, Call upon them when needed! God bless all who were lucky enuf to know this man, may God easy any pain until you meet again!
I was bawling my eyes out while watching this . . . what an incredible guy, truly inspirational! May you Rest In Peace Lt. Col. Weber
May God bless this amazing hero, and keep his family safe, in his absence.
I came across this video and website purely by accident. Having lost my own son in 2002 while serving in the Air Force, the song really touched my heart. Lt Col Weber's talk about integrity and honor were the values my son lived by as well. LtCol Weber was an courageous man and will be missed. I only wish I had found this story earlier because I would have liked to talk to him
My prayers go out to LtCol Weber and his family. God Bless.
R.I.P. Lt. Col. Weber, Thank you for your service. 1st Lt. M.P. 519 MP, Battalion . 1966 thru 1969.
Awesome last sermon, we all need to check ourselves to be humble and a good soldier. A very moving song of a dying soldier to say good bye to his living dad, and his son so courageous to sing the song with his dying father. So awesomely humble and a great farewell to every soldiers, friends and family. May he rest in peace and we remember what lessons he wants us to learn. Thank you for your service sir and to your great family. We are in awe.

Talk to our HEAVENLY FATHER AND OUR BLESSED MOTHER MARY TO PROTECT USA AND ALL SOLDIERS SERVING THE USA.
I can't get my head around personal family tragedies being posted on You Tube for the whole world to see? RIP Lt.Col Weber.
Fuck off !!!
Excuse me mr king but you are very disrespectful why would you say something like that expshily when MR WEBER FAUGHT FOR OUR COUNTRY WHAT A TOTAL DISRESPECT I AM SO TIRED OF THE DISRESPECT THAT IS GIVEN ON HERE TOWARDS OUR MEN AND WOMEN
@@lynnmast4988 Did you even read the post I had commented on ?? Of course not, because I was blasting this "I can't get my head around personal family tragedies being posted on You Tube for the whole world to see?" Now do you get it ?? I am retired military, and Colonel Weber's story struck a deep chord with me, so get the perspective and context right before you open your mouth !!!
Guess you weren't around for JFK when he died and the funeral.
Legend xxx
Watching 2020, this talk and the duet with his son, totally emotionally charged. Respect, RIP
Ironically I was watching TV on Sept 6, 2020 when Trump was denigrating fallen soldiers calling them "losers & suckers" when I happened on this video.
I played it twice; so sad. LT. Col Weber was such an inspirational soul. What an intelligent man and gave so much of his life. His humor is unmatched.
God bless his soul and he is resting in the bosom of his God.
Although a little late, my sincere condolences to his family.
God bless him he is a true Hero that is fought a battle some of us will never know. Thank you so much sir for your service. ♥️🇱🇷
Hardly a more heart wrenching video on CZcams!
May his children stand with pride, knowing the fighting spirit of their father!!
RESPECT
Words to live by !!
Well I held it together to almost the very end. Deeply heartfelt prayers and blessings to this wonderful soldier's family at his passing. I was blessed to spend 50 years with my vet who served 24 years in the USAF. One of my favorite poems as follows:
"It Is The Soldier"
It is the Soldier, not the minister
Who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the Soldier, not the reporter
Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the Soldier, not the poet
Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is Soldier, not the campus organizer Who has given us freedom to protest.
It is the Soldier, not the lawyer
Who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the Soldier, not the politician
Who has given us the right to vote.
It is the Soldier, who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag, And whose coffin is draped with the flag,
Who allows the protester to burn the flag.
-Author unknown
My youngest daughter requested this poem to be included on her dad's funeral program.
So sad

yup...now Im balling my eyes out!
True leadership. Rest easy Sir.
God bless you Sir
Rest in eternal peace
