I'm guessing he would have been around 63 or so and with his young family it is so young to get that kind of news.in very recent years both my parents past away in their 80s. Mum had cancer but luckily she had very little pain with it. In recent months I have been told that my youngest brother has stage four bowel cancer. He is struggling each day with it but luckily all his children are young adults with jobs. One the great things l like about this man is how he speaks of his wife and family! Mrs Colonel must have had all her marbles and heart in right place and lined up because while he wasn't there much to raise them up she did double duty as mum and dad as well as training and educating herself and then keeping house ,hearth , Home, family going while holding down a busy job likes being a CPA. You have done great guys. Yes you will miss him but he has gone to a place of many mansions and l am sure the Lord God is my redeemer that your dad and husband is there in the happy sweet land in God's happy presence sharing in all the good things that God promises his Faithfull children. Yes there are bad days now where you you feel the loneliness and the sadness that he isn't with you as he was so you could lean on him and ask for his advice or his comfort just do things with. The pain gets less but it doesn't go away but instead of grieving you will start rembering happy times and these will get you through and provide answers and strength for you to fall back on for he has done his job well as a Father, a husband, a friend, a confidante, a problem solver and disciplinarian, and about all else a dad who has given you everything you need to get you through and be all that he wanted you to be.

This Man is a real hero ! He is with God and is still protecting us from Heaven . This Man is a Man that young men should emulate . The Love of God was first, because He knew that it is only through the Love of God do we have true Love of Family , which is a close second .. Our Country needs more Men like this ! His Wife and Children are Hero's to me , also . His Wife so Lovingly shared this Man with Us and for Us . The young Men that this Beautiful couple produced with God's never ending Love, will grow up to be good and loving Men, how could they not ? They have the love and guidance of parents that live in the light of God ! The Mother will be here to help them while on earth, and their is so lovingly watching from the Heavens ! Remember, the body will die, but the Spirit lives on, and the Spirit is LOVE !!

Having lived with a disability all my life I know all about courage, but to live with a terminal illness and know what is coming yes there will be fear and worry, but trust in The Lord for He shall not abandon you! To the Weber family, Mark's story is a story of not only courage, but strength, resiliency and inspiration, a man who changed so many lives for the better, and who most definitely will be missed!

Where is God in all this? If he hasn’t had a hand in your and your wife’s life would this have been at all possible. [Ecclesiastes 12: 1-8] and [Ecclesiastes 12: 13,14] for it is He who made us and not we ourselves.

I think she was nervous. Her hands kept moving. Her husband was retiring as he was dealing with terminal cancer. I’m sure it was a very emotional day on many levels for the entire family. I don’t think she meant it as a slight. When she was afraid he was getting upset she bumped his hand. She loved him and she was likely barely holding it together.
