Best part of approaching adulthood was figuring out (and having verbal confirmation) that every time my family's been to an airport my dad has known as little walking in as we did, meaning not much. He was always just good at keeping a focused, calm head and not looking worried or oblivious. Really good skill to have.

Thanks for mentioning synesthesia, Max! It's basically a combination of two senses (or more), for example hearing colors. For me, certain notes and pieces of music (instrumental and lyrical) create their own paintings, emotions can create their own life-like animations (it's like that one scene in Ratatouille when Remy is seeing the colors swirl after tasting cheese and a strawberry) , and some names have specific colors. Depending on the situation, it can be very overwhelming but I find a lot of joy and creativity from it!

E P H, would love to do that but there are three problems with that: one money to buy said sword, I would want a good quality one; two money to ship said sword to the AH guys; and three you sure they would give up a good quality sword? 🤔🤔🤔
As a person that went from a Four year school to a CC, as a result of not wanting to continue in my major at the University. Community College is a great starting point for those unsure of a starting place. The affordability of CC lessens the sting of the financial burden as well as can afford a more creative approach to discovering your journey through the higher education!
After a short time at my school I am now moving back to the 4 year level, with much less of a financial burden and just as quality of an education!

Looper was partially filmed in my small town Peterborough, Ontario. Kinda crazy because nothing ever happens here lol.
As per the question about being unsure about whether or not to go to college: it can be great, there are a lot of opportunities and there are millions of paths one can take, but having been in college for four years I can say I've failed dramatically. I have a great GPA, but I've changed my major too much, haven't made many friends, haven't learned anything particularly new to me, and in general, I have let down my family and myself. People around me, far younger, have already done so much more in so little time. At this stage in my college career I am no longer a wanted applicant for internships, jobs, research positions, and quite frankly am not wanted in clubs. Don't be me. Do something worthwhile with your time, and after a year if you are like me and haven't found a purpose, don't be afraid to leave. Don't be a coward. Fail classes, fail papers, procrastinate, but most importantly, learn from it. Make your time valuable, you only get so much of it, and if you find you've wasted it you'll realize there is no amount of pain or regret as intense, nor as sobering.
Keegan Hottinger, I did do some college for a history degree, but due to working full-time and taking care of my family I didn’t finish. Do I want to finish my degree, in some ways yes, but the job I have now I love and I don’t need a college degree to do it. So I honestly don’t know if I will go back.
I learned so much about Trevor and Max this episode.
Great advice for the young High School grads who are thinking about college. I waited till I was in my mid 20's before I decided to back to school. It helped with burnout but I could have had more time in my field. I now do not have a career in the field I went to school for so many years ago, but it helped to propel me to where I am today and I couldn't have reached where I am without it.
Tasting color is actually also possible with synesthesia. There are many different versions and combinations that fall under that umbrella: like some people might see pain as being bright orange, taste piano music as lemonade, or perceive numbers and letters as having different personalities and characteristics (being mean, soft, wobbly/floppy, etc.). The "wires" of any senses can get crossed in the brain.
Also, in college, it is critical... almost beyond critical, to network. Network. Network. Network. Your degree can mean squat unless you network. Being a student takes the pressure off people in the field so they think of you less as a potential applicant and more as a... well... a student. This is definitely from experience from a less than productive undergrad graduate, but a better outcome out of grad school

For the kid who isn’t sure about college, there is always community college and experiment there and you won’t spend as much money as you would at a 4yr institute. You can even transfer then to one and you would have saved more money that way than going to it right off the bat, community college can be a life saver!

I spent a long time trying to figure out what route I wanted to go down in my career. I've settled on Accounting by age 24. I still don't know if it's the right thing for me, but I have found things that I have enjoyed and that I am good at within the Business Administration program

Community College or a Gap year for college! Gap years are a great way to figure out what you want to do! And community college is a good way to knock out basics, figure out what you're doing, and save money while doing this! I agree with Max, ACC was a great experience, I saved a ton of money, and I solidified what I wanted to do while I was there

If you're team always won and you couldn't watch them, just watch the highlights lol. When I was working 70 hour weeks that's what I had to do anyways haha
So as a college dropout I can say that it was a really stressful way to find out I had no idea what I wanted to do in life and ended up dropping out due to massively bad anxiety and depression and now have worse physical health on top of that.
So I spent almost 4 years pursuing something I didn't end up completing and would have driven myself insane if I had tried.
If someone told me to take a year and just figure it out instead of rushing me straight to college I think I'd have a degree and have been able to find a good fit for me. But such is life.
I really hope no ones buys MVMT watches, they are a really bad company that rebrands watches that are made in China for under $10.

I also used to think once I became an adult I'd become serious and know everything and eventually I got old enough to get scared that I'd become serious and boring and realized that you can still have fun and function as an adult and the two are not mutually exclusive to anything else.

synesthesia. it can affect multiple senses, so on a very rare occasion you can taste colors, a lot of times it's due to a tumor in the brain pushing on it in a way it moves it to another area of the brain. Also if no one has pointed it out, Barbara's dress is super cute! i love dinosaurs
