  • Hey everyone, in this video I will be sharing some of the reasons why a portfolio for an application for architecture might be unsuccessful. These points all from my experience as I was about to be rejected as well from my firm unis if I didn't change the way I approach to make my portfolio. Hope you enjoy it and find it useful.

I can’t thank you enough for posting all of these videos. Your channel was recommended to me at the perfect time and it’s hard finding helpful non-generic advice from candidates themselves. Keep it up.

This could be quite misleading. Schools like Bartlett place heavy emphasis on the arts, and the artistic process behind it. My initial portfolio was one that is entirely Architectural, and I got rejected with them saying that my portfolio is too weak!

What were you predicted grades for A Level and what were your other uni choices?

My initial predicted grades were BBB (B for Art, B for Graphics and B for English literature) which are the grades that I applied with, but at the end of the year, I got AAB (A in Art, A in Graphics and B in English literature). My choices were: University of Dundee, University of the West of England, Nottingham Trent University, University College London (UCL), University of the Arts London (UAL) where I have applied for both their degree course and their foundation course.
