Well done, beautiful Nancy! But, just so people know, this is not clarified palm oil. Clarified palm oil will retain its flowy consistency, and flow freely from a bottle or a can, even if kept on the shelf for a couple of months. To clarify palm oil, all the water added in the extraction of the pulp must be eliminated by putting pulp/water mixture back on the fire in a pot. Tedius process, but after clarifying, the oil remains flowy and the color is also more red. If the plam oil is not clarified, it clumps up when it cools down, and requires a spoon to get it out of the bottle. Unclarified palm oil is best for banga soup. Clarified palm oil is best for ęgusi soup.
Nancy nwanyi Oma, i wish I can just close and open my eyes and have those palm fruit extract. What they are selling to us over here in the name of palm oil is what I can’t describe 🙆♀️
Wow, thanks for bringing some fun memories. Those used to be our junk food back home. We'll suck the juice out of the skin and crack the seed and eat it. Our face used to hurt from chewing on that seeds😂😂😂
I guess what you mean is snack, not junk food. This is as far from junk food as you can get. Junk food by definition is full of preservatives, artificial ingredients and lacking in nutrition. Palm nuts are rich in antioxidants and are probably the fruit with the highest concentration of Vitamin A. Extremely beneficial for the eyes and the whole human body.
Oh my but those seeds must have been sweet. Thanks for letting me know that the seeds r edible. Maybe now you could Crack the seeds and put them in a coffee grinder to make some kind of candy or bake something with it - like add honey, oatmeal, etc. of your own choice. It sounds like the seeds taste like coconut - being a palm seed.
Chey sis you’re brave oo. You’re doing this in your clean, white kitchen with your neat clean clothes on? The way I hated preparing palm nut soup in Liberia. Chey I would cry when I saw my grandma put the palm nuts on the fire bc in Liberia it is extremely hard to cook bc of all the processes we put the palm nut soup thru. Chey wow u’re jst too brave
Hey Ms. Nancy! Could you please send me the name & Brand of that machine & where you get it to buy? Thanks & keep up the good work. What is your mother tongue - language you speak?❤
Food processor, not your normal blender. Hmm, it will shatter the kernel/seed/grain in the palm nut and destroy your blender too. Let's ask her, she did mention that it's a plastic blade but I saw silver metal blades. It's just my humble observation. 🙏
Many thanks! I just lover your whole demeanor, your dress, your flexibility, the way you carry yourself.... how you explain; come in like I should live next door!
My sister nice one and it was very easy to do. Pls i like that your food processor and i want it as well. Pls what's the brand and where can i get it from. Good evening
In Cameroon we use a mortar and pestle to pound the palm kennel and we use the second method to extract the juice and generally we cook with it immediately. We don't store it to use for later.
That' awesome! I met a doctor from Cameroon two weeks ago who told me that the culture is rich - He gave me good medicine too! Therefore, I would also like to learn more about Cameroon cooking, favorite dishes & culture.
Greetings Nancy. I really like the fact that you could use a food processor to extract instead of pounding. Please may I know the name of the food processor again can I get it here in Nigeria if not which food processor is similar to this am really impressed my sis.
I always hate to pound my palm fruit before extraction which is strenuous. Where can I buy this food processor the original one, Please. Thank you for this video too. I learnt something.
Extremely rich in Beta Carotene (Vitamin A); it is very rich in Phenolic Flavonide which is Rich Anto-Oxidant Complex that is easily absorbed because it is water-soluble. This fights against breast cancer, skin cancer, & many other types of cancer. Also contain Tocopherols, Tocomonoenols, Tocotrienols, etc.
Well done, beautiful Nancy!

Hello Nancy. Great video. Please it's palm kernel fruit allowed to be carried to the US?
Waiting for the answer to this question
It can be carried if it's registered with the FDA in the US.
Otherwise, clearing in the US will be problematic
Please what's the name of your blender that has rubber blade 🙏
Show part 2. What you do with the seeds and how you store the jars.
My children’s nanny cracks them open to get palm kernels for soaking garri.
Meanwhile, I pop the jars in the freezer. Up to 6 months.
I guess the jars are plastic since you said you can keep them in the freezer for up to 6months
