I ordered the capsule just to see and it is awesome, I imagine the 4k would blow me away. The picture on the capsule is perfect for me but I do find its generally not bright enough.
I’m actually watching this video on the nebula cosmos laser projector. 1080p version though. Had it since early June and I freaking love this thing!
Thinking of picking up the 1080p model for an outdoor projector. Have you connected a bluetooth speaker to the projector? How is the WIFI and Bluetooth connectivity? Not too finicky? Also kind of wondering why this is categorized as an outdoor projector when you have to plug it in for power. Seems like a built-in battery would be a given if they're going to label it as outdoor.
@@nickorsini2975 I’m using 2 of the soundcore motion boom plus as Bluetooth speakers for my projector. I also have a 25 foot retractable extension cord for moving it around the house. Though you can get a portable power station for taking it outside.

Great review! Can it do blue-tooth audio out? I bring my LG 4K laser projector many different places and the Bluetooth audio out makes setup so easy. Most often my wife and I are watching in bed with a small yet high quality wireless speaker so we can enjoy without keeping our son from falling asleep in the next room over.

Awesome video as always! While the contrast ratio on the Cosmos Laser isn't great, I have been VERY impressed by the brightness and color vibrancy, super versatile projector! One note: I have been able to control the projector settings (accessed by the source button) from the remote with no issues, maybe a firmware update situation in your case?
I did have that work once or twice but once I was using my nvidia shield it stopped working. Not sure why. Could be a firmware update.
@@ChrisMajestic Oh that's interesting. I haven't used an external streaming device (something other than the dongle) with it in a few months, I'll have to test that with my shield.

@Chris Majestic You are awesome dude. I was wondering if you somehow see this message, if you could do a vid comparing the AEON screens? I see that the prices vary wildly and its doesn't seem dependent on the screen size. I'm going to get a short throw projector but I see that the one I want ( Elite Screens Aeon CLR 3, 123" Diag. 16:9, Edge Free Ceiling Ambient Light Rejecting Fixed Frame Projector Screen, AR123H-CLR3) is like 1,500 on Amazon. Meanwhile some of the other way bigger screens are a lot cheaper. Also can tell us what the best screens to use with the "FOR MOVIE HOME THEATER" and also a comparison with it and the BenQ V7050i?

Sucks they only put 1 HDMI cable on it versus the cosmos max which has 2. Means you cannot use an external source + ARC connected external sound out of the box
Where do you get that it uses pixel shifting? My understanding is that 'Native' means is doesn't use tricks like pixel shifting to provide the listed resolution. Also keystone does have lossy quality when using digital keystone, which modifies the image. Manual keystone adjusts the lenses/hardware, so shouldn't result in quality loss. I'm not sure which type the reviewed projector is using.
How is this considered portable when it doesn't have a built-in battery? Are there any other better projectors with bluetooth functionality to for tethering a bluetooth speaker?
Can you run this in the day time in a garage for football?
Is this better than the mars 3?
As a programmer, would it be possible for me to substitute my monitor with it?
Does the 3D work on the 1080p version? Not in the market for a proper 4K projector right now, but wouldn't say no to something portable that puts extra life into my old 3D 1080p blu rays.
I'm also itching for a 3D projector, as I have my wedding and lots of family videos shot on Sony 3D camcorder. I may also find a semiautomatic (script) way to convert my Insta360 EVO (VR180) footage to less narrow 3D (side trimming).
Also interested in a 3D projector, how easy is it to buy 3D glasses for this, it seems difficult to find compatible 3D glasses
@@Fatman305 If you have around $5,500 to burn, you can buy the AWOL Vision LTV-3500 Ultra Short Throw Projector or its cheaper brother the LTV-2500.
They both support 3D which isn't common among home projectors.

Hello Chris, came across your channel looking for true 4k monitors. There are so many out there to choose from. I mainly want to user this for movies, sports, and maybe a little bit of gaming (like 3-4hours a week) Since you seem like an expert on projectors, which projector would you recommend, my budget is no more than 2500. I have the BenQ tk700 sti, great projector. But... When are they gonna bring back or implement 21:9 ultra wide on projectors. As a gamer I need and want this. Who do we need to talk to, to make 21:9 or 32:9 a thing. Optoma apparently have one but I don't like Fuqing with them because their devices never work like that should. I have an optoma gtr1080hd and the damn thing can't hold onto the 120hz signal, I have tried 2 of them and they have the same flaw.

This one seams perfect for example but were i leave is hard to get my hands on one.. do you have any idea for one projector of any type for a super dark room for like more or less 500$? Like the best view for that kind price with Wi-Fi connection?

How long did it take you to download the firmware update? It's only 776MB, has been over 30mins and we're just at the halfway point on the progress bar. ZZZzzzz.
is there a way to output the audio to a full blown home theatre system so you can get full dolby digital surround and Atmos ?
Literally all projectors do this, including this one.
How much do you think the input lag will interfere with gameplay for COD and other “highly competitive” games ? Maybe it’s just me but 54 milliseconds doesn’t seem too noticeable
Personally for me I notice anything over 35ms. Some people aren’t as picky as I am though.

How can they claim native 4k if it's using pixel shift? Are you able to manual focus the lens? This would be an excellent outdoor projector and 2400 lumens should be enough for over 150 (maybe 180) but if it's auto focus only I could see the limitations on screen size.
Yeah, there are issues with so many projectors labelling themselves as "Native 4K" but there are also terms like "True 4K" ,"UHD PRO 4K" , "Real 4K" and "4K Supported" ... These are all vague terms but I believe "True 4k" is a Texas Instruments term and "UHD PRO 4K" is Epson. That being said, I tried this projector and the input latency was horrible so don't use it for games.

Sony also claims their Xperia One phones have a 4K resolution display when they do NOT whatsoever.
16:9 4K = 3840 x 2160
21:9 4K = 5120 x 2160
Xperia One phones have 3840 x 1644 which is roughly 30% LESS pixels than 16:9 4K. 😂😂😂
Sony is lying to mass consumers with their marketing. 👎👎👎
The last phones with ACTUAL 4K displays are the Xperia XZ Premium and Xperia XZ2 Premium.

I´m interested in this too! I got the Cosmos Laser 4k, but once I switch to 3D it´s all just blurry on our DLP Glasses.
Epson ls12000b review please
Am coming from Epson 4010 and i want upgrade to sony vw290es or jvc nx5 both have less prightness than the Epson. Will i see them dim or i will be satisfied with overall picture quality?

What about the NP5? I bet that would do very well. In a recent projector shootout that was the surprise of the show.
What size screen are you running? The NX5 should be bright enough if your room is light controlled which I assume it is otherwise not too much point in upgrading. I have the 4010 right now on a 134' screen with 0.8 gain running low power and I'd say it's still brighter than it needs to be. Would gladly give up some lumens for better contrast

Yes. As long as you're not outside or in direct sunlight which is pretty much the case for any projector.

I would probably be pretty close to buying one of these if it wasn't for that brutal 54ms input lag.
JVC's upcoming LX-NZ30 projector is aimed at 1080p gamers with 6ms of input lag at 120Hz.
It only has HDMI 2.0 (not 2.1).

I still found it useful. I read Amazon 1-3 star reviews to learn of issues - some of which seem user error or defective since some serious issue is only mentioned once...
That’s the difference between me and others. If a product is garbage I’d rather not do the video. I only review products that are at least decent. The cons to this projector are price, black levels, the remote functionality, and input lag which were all mentioned in the video.
