Being honest, engineer needs to get its price (on gems) lowered to 3.500 gems. For the time you take to get engineer playing hardcore OR just it can get more placement limit (8) as like accel.

ngl this is good for soloing fallen now. If your doing crossroads or other maps with accel, pyro and supports the fallen boss will be left about like 30 k. But with engi it’s kills it now. Ngl pretty good buff.
well the sentries dying really aren’t much of an issue now that engie has a faster firerate, also if it’s really that big of an issue then you could bring medic since the shields’ uptime depends on whether or not the engie is stunned. All you need to do is to heal engie and the shields will immediately return and plus, most of the time there won’t be mutliple enemies at once stunning and the sentries still have some health to tank a bit of stun damage.
mind you: engi has lead from level 0, and hidden + flying from lvl 2, so not only is it good for the main modes, its also good for the special modes bcuz of high dmg + early hidden (espically hardcore bcuz of flying and lead)
The fact that this cost so much gems is actually worth the buff the only thing that i hate about engi that its sentries cant get buff which sucks tbh i have an idea about angi having an ability that boost sentries or rebuild sentries without scraps that would be amazing im not saying that it needs another buff im just saying what is in my mind
i do see engi being better due to stun immunity fly detection and only need DJ for buff so its quite better but engi's sentry doesnt have a hidden detection so its balanced
What a journey this engineer went through. First it shows up powerful, then it gets nerfed badly, then it gets buffed decently, and then it gets a bigger buff. Amazing.
I think whenever engineer is busy, it can rebuild sentry in 1 second if the scrap meter is full it means if engineer is busy so always place engineer front side and accel backside 😂
One thing TDS does better then TDX is stealth, in TDX there is so much stealth and even the boss can go stealth, so all your towers need to see stealth or you need to buy towers and micro them to reveal stealth.
Honestly, I think while engi is a bit better than accel, the amount of gems is not worth it. Maybe if it costed 3k or 3.5k, but not 4.5 as that implies that it's almost 2x better than accel, when really, it's not. Also, if smth gets out of range, you shouldn't really quickly sell and replace further along the path as it takes a while to rebuild it's sentrys. However, I'm not saying it's bad, it's better than accel in most cases, I just think it's still not worth it. Still, at least it finally got a good buff and I'll probably use it alot more. When accelerator got nerfed in the violent night event, she got nerfed as well in compensation. Now that accelerator is pretty much back to his overpowered self, its about damn time they buff engineer as well to match accelerstor as a hardcore tower
I mean... if you're gonna compare her to accel which could be buffed with commander, dj and etc. Remember that engi was supposed to be jack of all trades and doesn't need to rely on supports to make herself stronger. But who knows? Devs might consider units to be buffed by supports but sentry already have stun immunity.
for a expensive tower to get, engineer is finally worth grinding for(at least for me, but i still goin to get Necromancer because i love Necromancers and Summoner 👍)
