Mimi and Josy were the first and only time the audience ever chanted for an encore from ANY location where the Voice is produced. It was one of the most powerful moments in auditon history. I truly felt sorry for the judge in the white shirt, she was devistated that they did not choose her as their coach.
And in the case of Lukas, singing Fallin' by Alicia Keys? If I'm not mistaken, in his case, the audience also asked for it.
Nope! With the other German guy with a beard singing Rocket man, the audience also asked for a "zugabe".

Mimi and Josy are such wonderful young ladies who will go far with their beautiful talents and they have worked hard already to be as good as they are and will go even further with guidance by artists/studio backing (not that they need a lot). God has given us two future stars and if this performance doesn't touch your very soul you aren't of this world. It is better than any average song polluting the air waves. These two angels are a gift to us all in their musical talents and it appears their outlook as well. Hats off to their family raising them to be wonderful young people!
except one is trying her hardest to sound like billie ellish or lana del ray and it comes out sounding like shes trying way too hard. not a very good performance and if that is the best you have seen of that song you need help lol

No it wasn’t. The song is meant to be sung in a self-deprecating way. Giving it a Las Vegas vibe is counter to how it should sound. The sisters nailed it perfectly.

They are directed to put on extreme reactions and emotional displays to lead the crowd and audience in an emotional reaction. It’s purposefully done. Welcome to the formula. Even contestants are directed on game shows to over emote. I’ve had that conversation as a selected participant on a major game show with producers.

Why does this song always make me tear up
We like to think that the lyrics and instrumentals to this song simply hits home for most humans that have the ability to hear and feel. Deep down, we all have imperfections & insecurities, carry on our bodies emotional scars & wounds and have all experienced a degree of depression and/or feeling like an outsider in our lifetimes. It is a timeless classic that should resonate with humans for the rest of history as long as it's not lost or forgotten about (temporarily or permanently).
