Quite a number of people criticise The Hobbit trilogy. Firstly, the LOTR films are unsurpassable. However, those who criticise seem to have forgotten that The LOTR books are each long novels in their own right, AND they were written for adults. The Hobbit was a fairly short children’s book, with many things glossed over or not expanded fully. Therefore the film either had to be a one off with much of the background material omitted, or, some “poetic licence” had to be included and thus three films were produced. So the songs, light hearted moments etc are because that was the tone of much of the book! Maybe there is more CGI in these three, but, I still consider them very enjoyable and, to be frank, I ignore the criticism. Well done and looking forward to the next!
Fun fact: Balin (the old dwarf) is the one in the tomb in the mines of Moria in the fellowship when Gimli starts crying and Ori (the goofy looking dwarf) is the skeleton holding the book that Pippin knocks over down the well

Really appreciate your style. Far too many reactors spend too much time looking directly at the camera and constantly talking throughout the movie trying too hard to be funny. You show genuine interest in the movie, and that is the most important thing for true fans of the content you react to. 👌

to your question about the dragon being Sauron . The Hobbit was written several years before Lord of the Rings . so smaug haveing an eye that looks like Sauron probably had nothing to do with the story of Lord of the Ring . however it's also worth pointing out that Sauron had a body in the Third Age IN THE BOOK . Peter Jackson just wanted to make it a bit more spooky by having a spirit on top of a tower . there's also a theory that Sauron was in the tower in the movie and that the eye we see in the film is a magnifying glass . Sauron was one of those bad guys that only comes out in the last days of battle . the Battle of Mount Doom at the start of the first lord of the rings film lasted 7 years . Sauron only came out of his tower at the end of the war on the last day
Personally, i love Hobbit trilogy more that LOTR!!! And it gets better with each movie❤! The hate it gets is so unnecessary(

I don't think Peter Jackson could have found a better actor than Martin Freeman to play Bilbo. It took me a long time to warm up to The Hobbit trilogy but I've really come to like and appreciate them. I've often wondered if it might be better for people unfamiliar with Tolkien to watch The Hobbit first, then LOTR.
Looking forward to the next two, I'm sure it will be a fun ride.

Torin heap of Azog's arm not the head! Bofur has an ax in his head he lives! So why would Azog survive an amputated arm? One thing I wonder about when the wolf riders surround the dreibil Bilbo has drawn his scythe but the sword doesn't glow blue like Gandalf said? In the city was not wet as in the book Blibo was with the dwarves when Gandalf came and Bilbo came from the friends on the way out of the mountain. I won't complain The movie is the best! When Bilbo was close to killing Gollum/Smeagol, Bilbo must have remembered what Gandalf said about courage to take a life and to be spared one.

Some people like you just take dumps on literally every single sequel or prequel of every movie ever. You people are just total buzzkills. A good movie to watch concerning the sickness of the mind through the love of gold is "The Treasure of Sierra Madre", with Humphry Bogart. Great story and only a couple of hours long for all those ADHD p*****s out there.
