- Here is my music transcription of the 'Konnakkol Duet' by Vidwan B R Somashekar Jois and Kumari V Shivapriya in mishra chaapu tala. The Mohara-Korvai is composed by Vidwan B C Manjunath. This video is for educational purposes only.
This is just mind blowing. No words can express what i can say about the skill set you guys possess.
Thanks very much for posting.
amazing in all sorts of ways. Technique, memory, voice. everything perfect.
Excellent, awesome, extraordinary performance. Hearty thanks for uploading this wonderful clip. 🙏🙏
What syllables are the first fast ones? Really ta ka di na ta ka? Because it sounds different but I could be wrong, so I'd really love to know :D but thank you for the video!!
Espectacular!!! Gracias!!!
Ramtamtam ruggatam bam.
Gosh!
Great work! Thank You!
God bless you!❤
Oh My!!!!
damn near fell out of my seat at 3:02
SAME!!
Brilliant!!
Wow!
Excelentes!!
Beautiful
Do the syllables change when there's 4 beats to the bar? I've seen something similar but the notes I'm seeing here don't match the syllables I know of.
Holy Christ! How did you transcribe this?? Thanks for sharing!
I think they just showed the score and synced it with the voice... Transcription is impossible!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
From 1:03 , the beats go simultaneous with 4/8 on one hand and 7/8 on the other
👏
I lost the count after 3 cycles.....Are they improvising real time ? Because this is huge head scratcher , even for Meshuggah :)
The second half is a 'rhythmic composition' by Vidwan Manjunath. The first half has both performers recite pre-conceived rhythmic phrases. This part is a bit less pre-conceived, but still not improvised in the usual sense.
Hι great work......what is the score application?is there any konokol learn application?
Thanks. The notation displayed was from Logic Pro. The Konnokkol syllables were my best guess based upon Trichy Sankaran's highly recommended book, The Art of Konnokkol.
This is used as notation for percussion instruments like Mridangam as an accompaniment to the vocals in a carnatic concert.
can you write your email so I can send you which email to send score please? Thank you!
I can't write my email in the comments
