Thank you! I found your video because I was trying to look up the name for the type of vocals you are doing. I didn’t know what to look up - and I still don’t know what it’s called. But what you are doing with your voice is so soothing and interesting to me. The tabla rhythms are also impressive. Does anyone know what you call that kind of “singing”? It kind of reminds me of “scatting” in jazz music and also “beatboxing” .

This type of rhythmic recitation is called Konnakol in South India and commonly Parant in North, consisting of making phrases emulating the percussions sounds with vocal syllables known as boles for tabla
