    Good video, but I wanted to see some more advanced tests :) like for example:
    - output voltage with some small resistance (to see if the voltage will remain the same),
    - built in reverse polarity protection test,
    - voltage dropout test,
    - built in short circuit protection test.

    AMS Regulator comes in many variants to begin with
    Fixed and Variable (1.5v,1.8v,2.5v,etc)

    If you want to help the new guy show him the new schematic and then draw the actual wiring diagram he stepped by self point to point wiring diagram and then show the difference between the schematic layout or the pinout layout and how it actually gets wired that would help the new guy immensely

      Bro, just check the regulator's datasheet to know what are the typical configurations and recommendations from the manufacturer about additional capacitor values.

      @@StevenBedoya2 Bro, of course I could do that, but the whole point of the video was how to use something, so having to look up how to use it makes the video a bit pointless.. 🤦‍♂️

    All Sources and datasheets don't tell something about that resistor. Why did you use it and what did this resistor do? Only for 1117-adj or the use of two simultaneous 1117 with two powersupplies use a resistor. I think the resistor is wrong. What is your opinion?

    AMS1117 have 9V, 12V and variable output flavor as well now i think

    I honestly don't see why people say this is a good video it doesn't show you anything. It doesn't show you the proper pinout you were soldering to hidden traces they could be going to any of those pins on the bottom of the board. You can guess that you're going left to right from one to three but it will just be a gas for people that have never done this before schematics are useless they don't really tell you how to wire anything unless you really understand even the simple schematics like this for example the pin outs are not left to right as a wiring diagram would indicate the shift around 1 pin counterclockwise to the left so anybody that would follow this as if it was the actual component would not be wiring it correctly this is what makes me angry at people that are posting these videos for new I'm experienced people that are trying to learn electronics they will get it wrong almost every time.

    Can we change the value of resistance to get an output of 3 volts? How much?

      Not in 3.3v or 5v version... You have to find ams1117-adj which is adjustable by two additional resistors

    I'm new to electronics and have no teacher I'm using 8v power source and 3.3v lm1117 I have 100u electrolytic cap on input and 10u electrolytic cap on output is this ok?

    What's with the resistor? What ceramic capacitor are you using that meets the ESR requirements of your output capacitor? Where's the schematic? This is such a confusing video. You must have spent hours on that movement montage and zero minutes actually explaining the regulator.
