    Thanks for the video. Water texture is what I need for miniature swamp bases and your video is the clearest there is on how to use it. Cheers.

    I used to choose model color, game color and mecha color for different things until I found nothing really matters if I ganna apply mecha varnish on top of my works in the end, always durable anyway. So, now I just get any vallejo paint without thinking.;)))

      Yes! Specially if you use Mecha Primer for all of them. ☺️🦾🦾🦾

    Thanks for the video. I've used Still water the first time today... And after a few hours of drying a strange milky residue has appeared in the water, near the bottom :(

    • @DonSuratos
      @DonSuratos  Před rokem +1

      Oh! The paint underneath reactivated with the still water. 😬😬😬

      @@DonSuratos Oh no…😖 Will it cure after some time, or is it spoiled now? 😖😖 I didn’t expect it to be so aggressive 😱

    Question... I have used the still water product of Vallejo and after some week or months it start to get a whitish color all over the surface ruining the transparency of the effect. This hasn't happen to you?

    • @DonSuratos
      @DonSuratos  Před 3 lety +3

      Happened to me wayback, I think the bottom layer is just starting or trying to cure. The top layer cured faster, and it kept the bottom layer from curing properly I think. Thus I highly recommend to apply them in thin layers. ☺️

    Hello. If I want to do a puddle on cement, as in I dropped a glass of water over the sidewalk, what would you recommend to simulate the little splatter??

    • @DonSuratos
      @DonSuratos  Před 2 lety

      Depends on waht scale. If you are painting really small miniatyres, you have to paint a darker color of the sidewalk and maybe even highlights. But if you are working on 1/35 scale or bigger, just using gloss varnish or a bit of still water would look great. 😊

      @@DonSuratos I'm doing an 1/72 General Aviation Diorama. The puddle is the Ice chest draining the excess water. Looks like the plane peed on the tarmac. 1/72 scae should be around 1 inch across.

    Don. great builds. Don what is the advantege of still water if you compare with resin ?

    • @DonSuratos
      @DonSuratos  Před 3 lety +3

      Incomparable sir. Consider still water as sort of a 3mm thick gloss varnish. It is great for pools or streams, but can never replicate deep resin. Still water is easier to use and way less toxic, but limited. ☺️

    Great videos. How long does Vallejo Still Water take to dry?

    • @DonSuratos
      @DonSuratos  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks! Around 24 hours. But if applied super thin, can dry in a couple of hours. ☺️
