I remember the days with the old NP cars. If I remember the Ski train was pulled by the F9s that pulled the RGZ after it was cancelled. It's also cool to know the Michelle is a Star Trek fan!

Hah hah, Andorian tribbles. I'm an old Star Trek fan from way back. I even ordered some of the Star Trek merchandise back in 1971 which included the gold A badges that are sewn to the uniforms. I model caboose era D&RGW but dang, that's a nice looking ski train. Y'all are having too much fun! Ironically, I'm told the layout represents Oregon landscape and scenery but it's located in Greeley Colorado!
I have ridden the train with my mother and sister on one of the last trip of the season; was back in the late 1990''s loved every bit of it!! Live in Nashville TN I will always remember being in Colorado as a little kid and loved trains and still will until my last days....... thanks!!!

The ski train model brings back memories of the time when it ran in colorado. It fits perfectly with the CMRM layout. Although the tempo cars were from Canada originally, they played an interesting role for the Rio Grande as well. Great Work.

Wish Rapido would do this train in N gauge, then that would be awesome because I'm from Colorado and loved to ride that train during ski season, get up early have breakfast on the way up fiddle fart around the resort, have dinner and a few beers on the way back, great times met alot of fun people too on those excursions!!!

That's awesome. I still need to eventually get another Rapido phase 3 F40PH to go with 229 that I bought a few years ago. Sadly, I'm still in school so that might be awhile, plus 229 sits safely away in storage until I finally stop moving. Thank you everyone for your high quality recreations for the HO and N scale.

Great Colorado Ho layout it's worth building today with DCC n Sound technology I started with tyco years ago until I switched to Athearn Genesis Ho locomotive's n I'm a Walter's Ho scale n now this is what I was looking for since the early 80's n today I found the technology for Ho scale,O gauge,O scale, n S scale, n G scale which is garden with sound technology I enjoy this hobby n watching the videos on CZcams n I like sound in Ho scale which I buy today.

OK Jordan.... nice video, as always Rapido did a bang up job and the details are unmatched, But !! Lets address " THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM !" You know it's true because between 0:15 and 2:30 it was in the upper left hand corner of the screen! OH yes I saw it, those oh sooo sexy New LRC'S. Right at the " missing footage debacle" the LRCs disappeared as if Jason beamed them up to the USS Enterprise hoping no one saw them! wheres the video on the new LRC's Jordan ( & Rapido trains)? , or is that footage missing too.. LOL

They look lovely, although not really compatible with my OO British outline heritage railway layout. The interior detail looks great too. How about DCC sound that includes toilet flushes etc? 😉
We're going for working toilets first...

The only way to see all the details at the bottom of those trains, is if you are modeling a train wreck.
We always say our passenger cars look best upside down in a ditch! 😂
if you model CSX, the bottom side is what you get to see the most of, lol

Never wear a red Star Trek uniform...virtually everyone on TOS who wore one didn't survive episode. Even Scotty was "killed" a time or two, but he managed to survive his death. Seriously, those are some nice models and anyone into serious passenger train modeling would do well to get some.

Hello to everyone at Rapido trains, I can’t wait to get me a set. I love the Denver and Rio Grande paint scheme. I wish my wife was enthused with Trains like Michelle is. My wife hates trains she thinks they’re a waste of money. If I was single again I would definitely ask Michelle out on a date. Hey Bill your working this at the wrong angle, Follow my lead. My wife was not into model railroading at first as well until I persuaded her to think of it this way ..... " When Im stressed and need a release My model railroading hobby is a lot safer , poses no reasonable amount of danger to anyone, and cost less then ME Drinking at a bar every, weekday, weekend, special occasion, no reason but to get beer goggle vision, or just because Im upset with you." Worked like a charm for me !
