Just beautiful Christina❤❤❤ I am now using a plastic boxwood wreath from Amazon all year. I usually add a little something in it for a holiday. The color of your front door is yummy 😊 And I definitely want to try the solar fountain! TFS

That crabapple is gorgeous. To help with weeds, apply the mulch in a deeper layer. My entire front yard is perennial beds, and I have very few weeds because of a 4 to 5 inch layer of mulch. Just make sure to keep it a few inches away from tree trunks and an inch or so away from perennial stems.

Hi Christina. I'm sorry, I was away, dealing with an unfortunate situation. Anyway, love your door entry area. Its very pretty! I too have similar, taller pots in chartreuse. I've had for years and love the statement they make! I use solar water fountains in all 3 of my birdbaths. They love it, too! 💚

Love the tall, black vases flanking your door; I may do the same with real boxwoods or use one for a fountain idea in my front garden bed 😆
I actually used a planter with a solar fountain a couple of years ago as well but it stopped working and I only had water in it vs doing the 2 containers you have displaying cute plants!
I’ll have to see if your model works better!
I also used mosquito 🦟 dunks and some algae 🌱 tab to help the water.

Thank you for inspiring me I made the water fountain feature and the black and white checkered rug for my deck area and the planters for my front porch. I have also for the first time purchased Lobelia they are gorgeous and so delicate looking and also a 1st time bought snapdragons. I did find out that they are poisonous to dogs and decided to put them in on my decks window boxes to avoid any issues with my ole girl because she loves to explore and is low to the ground 😅. Thanks again 👍

It's so pretty, but that would never hold up where I live. We get a ton of wind here in central Washington State. Those boxwood spheres would be in the next county in no time!

Like the pretty striped rug in front of the door, but that won’t work either
If you put a weight in the bottom of the planter, like bricks or rocks, then wire the boxwood to the planter, would that stand up to it? Or anchor the planter to the house.
I would add sand or gravel to the planters, and the spheres could be tacked down.

Currently digging up our front garden which is absolutely full of rubble. Can't wait to get it done, get some topsoil and plant up a wildflower garden. Also want to do one of those tiered planter fountains. They look so good. They're viral for a reason. Great job.

Thanks! Mine is south facing, so it's hot too. All these hardy perennials seem to hold up well, and the brown mulch helps.

We always put a liner underneath the mulch then you don't get weeds
does the water feature spray over to the plants in the bottom half or do u need to water them separately?
I made this fountain/planter but all the water empties out within minutes, can’t be filling it up every hour 😖
Oh no! Maybe use a different spot for a smaller/shorter spray?
