I would fall off my chair if I sold a painting for that much!, holy guacamole! I look forward to watching these videos after work, and love it even more when I am painting, I do find myself getting upset with myself quite a bit. I need to quit trying to copy and just paint. I am OCD so it is really hard not to be precise, straight, narrow and not controlling everything. I usually catch on really quick, but these are giving me a run for my money. Thank you for sharing your talent!
I'm having so much fun learning through the rose challenge. Your encouragement to be confident & quick with strong marks is taken to heart. I always enjoy your stories and powerful words. Thank you for slowly taking us through our journey to paint a rose with endless helpful advice. The repetition is key for me! Love every detailed tip you share .
I attend your classes always after I finish all the tasks for the day, they make me travel through a world full of colors and beautiful flowers! Thank you for sharing your talent!
I feel like you were talking to me while you were painting this one. I found myself commenting out loud. Great lesson. Wonderful reminder of several things I keep forgetting even after all these years. Thanks for this!
Absolutely loved this one. I painted this one the fastest yet, and it came out the best. I'm getting really psyched. I love the Heritage paints. Thank you for sharing your talent.
Thank you Janet. Yes, I find that is true, when I paint the fastest it is the best. So playing around. Thank you for support. My family and I appreciate it.
I'm still scared to use the paint I don't know what my problem is terrified to use the paint I don't know why so I will try that thank you love the books love your paint love your precious love your teaching your awesome it's exactly what you said. It's just like you said takes courage
Hi Nida, That is natural. Most my students and myself are afraid to you use paint. I think it is a control thing. It actually helps though to use paint as it gives so much more movement to the roses. Keep going!
I'll be honest with ya Mr. Jansen, I don't follow tutorials. When I first started painting, I was following CZcams tutorials. A few months passed and I received a visitor friend, they looked around and saw one of my paintings and said something to the effect of "Oh! You watch her too?". Nothing hurt worse. So I try to do my own thing now, no offense. I thoroughly enjoy watching though and will continue to do so.
I understand your point, but don't agree. I would never worry about always doing your own work. That is not the history of art. I follow the masters all the time. I recreate master paintings in lots of classes. I do my own work and other artists work to learn new things. Don't every think you "MUST" do your own work. That is not the history of painting. Masters taught apprentices. As a matter of fact my favorite artist was the main apprentice for Jan Davids deHeem. I liked his work better than the master who he spent 11 years learning from. I was "Knighted" in Paris, France in 2007 for creating new techniques to reproduce and share the master's works with acrylics. I have traveled and taught in almost every country in the world teaching master techniques. I do what I do today because I concentrated on learning techniques and "looks" of artists before me. Yes, I copied. Copying gave me the best pathways to what I do today. Studying, copying and reproducing other artists is a very important part of learning and generating ideas. It has only helped my career in art. I have been very blessed to sell millions in paintings to collectors around the world, have my work in many different collections including the White House and Smithsonian. I would have never been able to do what I do if I did not copy the masters and artists before me, giving me new ideas and confidence to try new things. I embrace copying masters. Last year I taught a reproduction of a dutch master floral online to 7,000 students in 19 different countries. They all signed up to see it done in acrylics. It wasn't my work but I generated acrylic techniques from the 17th century masters. Lots of ways to build an artistic career, copying to learn brush calligraphy, color tones and edges is a great way to refine your journey. I think you can tell I believe in copying...LOL... Thanks!
@@JansenArtEducation I appreciate the long response but I wasn't referring to the masters. I copy masters also because they knew what they were doing. I was referring to certain people on CZcams that I won't mention because I've learned they aren't exactly kosher. Since I made this comment I have learned a great deal about you, as you've stated here. I would feel safe learning and copying from you at this point. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
Absolutely wonderful tutorial David. Thank you again 🌸 I was wondering if you have ever painted after a Monet or Manet? (Not copied, but similarly in composition) For instance Monet’s water lilies! I believe it is a mistake that most artist make, in that they stay with what they know and like. ( I include myself ) But you are helping me to see that I need to challenge myself, and no doubt make “lots” of failures along the way. 😉 never the less I am determined to try. ☺️
Yes I have painted and studied the originals in Europe and Paris. His use of warm cool and secondary colors to spark primaries is really amazing. I use to teach in Paris down the street from the Musée d'Orsay which had a huge collection of his works. Gave me a lot of perspective and new ways of looking at color passages. Love it.

Magic hand..
So nice, l 😍
Thank you.
So beautiful rose 👌
Sir plz tell me which paper is best for acrylic color painting?
I don't use paper. I like a stiff ground like a wood panel. I use tempered wood panels or MDF for most my work.
@@JansenArtEducation Thank you sir.
