I think the whole world is holding their breath waiting to see what happens with food prices, supply shortages and increasing gas/oil prices. People (including myself) are holding back buying 'nice things'. Its going to be a hard 2-3 years for small businesses like ours. Stay focused and just ride it out. xx

Loved this whole video! I’m rebranding my business and it is tough but everything will soon go back into normal we just have to keep on moving I’m not too well with making the reels and stuff I wish we was back in the time where we can just upload our photos lol

Bravo Caitlin, you are ultra correct and honest in your approach. Its VERY SERIOUS MATTER, TO RUN YOUR OWN BUSSINES PEOPLE DONT RELIAZE HOW SERIOUD IS UNTILE THEY DONT GET INTO IT. You work very hard, all respect for that too. What was the preservative that you use in body butter, that is primo product, its obvious very, very quality indeed. That's very rare in our days and age, almost all are using lotion or butter base for everything. Enjoy, customers see and recognize the quality, who ever under estimate the customers, sooner or later, pays the huge price about that. I have Master of Cosmetology in Europe and PhD on skin transplantation here, and I can tell you, your products are phenomenal, because almost all is from scratch, as been said, that's not the case with many.....And massage oils mix, looks more then fine for me, you can post some ingredients, if not its fine too. All the best!

Your product packaging is gorgeous and I love your boxes. Are the boxes pre-designed or did you get them custom printed with a design you created or had someone design for you?

Thank you SO much! I use Adobe Premier Pro...I wouldn't say it's easy but I did a course on skillshare and after that It's been great. Practice always helps too! 💕

Hey Caitlin, nice video. Why have you decided to scale down your wholesale? Master batching lotion and body butters is definitely a game changer.
Thank you! Main reason is profit. I think both are important avenues to have to grow a business but if you're not making enough profit than scaling and growing becomes very difficult. I was selling a ton via wholesale but would constantly be sold out on my own website. So until I can scale my production up and get some help I need to pull back on wholesale. It's not a forever thing just my plan for this year!

Caitlin hunny, 200 new followers from.54 000 views isn't bad. That is 0.4% Usually 0.1% starts following after watching a video or reel. 5% of the 200 is 10. So 5% turned into sales. It is again a good number. It is usually 1 to 2 %.
Didn't think of it this way! I'm still so grateful and wasn't complaining...just sharing those numbers. I think people just starting out would see 54K views and get discouraged. Just trying to share what the reality of growing is like! 💕

Are you targeting your posts and reels to the right people? I have seen a lot of handmade businesses who have had the same. A lot of their audience seems to be made up of other handmade businesses. So many people looking at posts and reels but not converting into customers. People like looking at nice videos and have no intention of buying. I think that you should concentrate more on building your email list than relying on reels, etc. Maybe do a special product and offer a discount on it if people sign up to you email list. Yes this is a great point! I do think I'm targeting a wide variety of people but with marketing, people on average need to be exposed to your brand/product 7 times before they convert to an actual buyer. I think it just takes more time and social media is now overloaded with businesses like mine so I think consumers are getting tired of ads, people selling, etc. It's an ever changing game!
