I visit Puerto De Mogan on the island of Gran Canaria in today’s vlog.
Puerto de Mogan is a picturesque resort and fishing village on the southwest coast of the island of Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands. The canals and bridges of its seawater inlet have earned it the nickname "Little Venice." Along the marina, you'll find an assortment of restaurants and bars, while the old town area is full of quaint, Mediterranean homes and cottages climbing up the hillside. Puerto de Mogan is a major stop for ocean yachts travelling from the Atlantic to the Caribbean.

Actually just returned from my first ever trip to Gran Canaria after 35 years of Tenerife, @The MacMaster
Good choice of the mrs. staying at Gloria Amadores Palace around the corner at Amadores beach which is, like you said in tour vlog ont hag beach, the absolute best beach.
Highly recommended and like you stated perfectly GC is like the older more mature, yet beautiful, older sister of Tenerife.
And Mogán is indeed picturesque. Highly recommend to go there by boat. The Blue Dolphin you see in your video goes every whole hour from Puerto Rico at €6 a person. And the trip is beautiful and lots of fun with a great crew playing 70’s music and singing and dancing with the people on board.
Staying here at the moment, walked around and had a great lunch, still watched the video after being there myself 😂
Puerto Mogan alone blows Tenerife apart and also has the best sunshine record in the Canaries

The Radisson Blu Hotel in Puerto de Mogan is probably one of the nicest resorts in the Canaries
Stayed there a few times and wow it is amazing
Highly recommend if looking for a modern luxury resort in Gran Canaria
I was thinking of going to that hotel next year. Is it close enough to walk to where he is?

Mogán is a great place to visit, the market day is hustle and bustle, with brilliant Bougainvillea in summer months. The best way to travel there from Playa del Ingles is on the bus via the "OLD" coastal road and return on the Ferry for €13 (2018) which takes in breath taking views and a few port drop offs. Then from the keyway a free bus to your hotel. Fantastic day out, highly recommended.
Brought back some memories this. Went in 2016. I’ve been to Tsavo camping, Tiwi beach Mombassa, Sydney… De Mogan is the best place I’ve ever been. The atmosphere, the restaurants, the market, the ferries to Puerto Rico. Unbelievable place, real beauty. Hope it hasn’t changed
Gran Canaria is what I imagine Tenerife was like in the 70's, it hasn't moved with the times. However, there are some very nice scenic roads/views to enjoy which makes me want to return.
Aw our lovely Mogan ❤ a love story that started 12 years ago and never fails to pull us back. Only place abroad we feel totally chilled ❤ x
Am here atm and really like the place. They need to get the GC500 (coast road) sorted if they can. For me back in the day it was part of Mogans character…arriving along the beautiful coast road looking down at Mogan pier. We are staying in Cordial Mogan Playa, it’s lovely.
Everytime im in puerto rico, we need to take a daytrip to Mogan, lovely place

Been to Puerto de Mogan a couple of times and have to agree it’s a fantastic place and a must visit. Gorgeous flowers everywhere and colourful fish in the harbour. Just beautiful 😍
We are costa adeje frequent visitors and like yourself love tenerife but after watching your current vlogs from gran canaria we are now like yourself booking for a week later in the year to try somewhere different thanks for the inspiration to try somewhere different keep up the great vlogs.

Went to Mogan twice on our Gran Canaria holiday in January, such a lovely place! And the market on Friday mornings is huge. Will definitely return.

Glad you featured my favourite place to relax in the Canaries Lee. I stayed a week in one of those lovely harbour/marina apartments with the flower and fauna in abundance. Ate and drank at Denehys Irish pub restaurant lots too. Guiness like you say and so wished for. Did a few boat trips to Anfi and PC from there but mostly enjoyed an hour or two on the beach meals out at restaurants having a bottle of wine on balcony views to die for and ppl watching. Bliss. Did the trip solo for first time and loved it there, Sun sea and s...afe my friend. 😀 Rum and raisin ice cream btw

Beautiful is morgan used to be just a local village when i was going but they turned it into the beautiful place it is today and many hotels now on the way from PR TO MORGAN

Thanks for the visit. I loved it there when we went. Was much nicer twenty years ago. Not commercialised as much as now. Just small Marina with fishing boats, local housing, a few new shops, a car park with local Spanish cafe and the market and a very small sandy beach area with a few ice cream places above it. Nothing like now. Flowers between houses were much more brilliant and prolific. It really was a small village then. But still very beautiful. Thanks again for the visit😊

I’m in no way being a snob but I remember when I was really young going to GC and how rustic Mogan was, apart from a massive hotel in the middle you got the feeling of a little fishing village which now is probably gone.
As someone who had stayed in the new Radisson on the outskirts (which is an excellent resort) i dont think so! It felt really quaint and was beautiful(back in 2018) not that it has significantly changed
If you go to Mogan again, go on a friday morning when the market is on, much different, very busy!! another great vlog, we have been to Gran Canaria many times, always enjoy it - may try Tenerife again after watching your Vlogs. a few videos on my channel of Gran Canaria, but much easier to film without the Mrs & kids!!

This is my favourite place, visited here 4 years ago. Been to Gran Canaria twice, stayed in San Augustin at Gran Canaria Princess both times. Never been to Tenerife, was to be my first time last year, but cancelled 3 times ☹ It's rebooked for end of this March, but doesn't seem likely now. On the bright side, your vlogs keep it alive until we are able to go 😉 Thanks Lee

I deffo prefer GC to tenerife and these videos are getting me all excited for my vacations coming up.......... I got Dominican Republic in june and then back to Gran Canaria in august for my short haul holiday.
@Kat Cymru Haha oh yes i have seen a dominican tarantula too, and yes they can get to the size of a hand, In the dominican they call them cacata's........ And i saw one on bavaro beach crawling along underneath some coconut palms trees around dusk as the sun was going down and it just crawled into bush but luckly it was far up the beach and away from the resort haha but i spoke to one the locals and they told me they are quite common over there but generally they stay in bush areas and just come out at night usually to look for a mate. I saw snakes in tulum mexico aswell which i deffo stayed away from...... but the only thing that bothers me about the caribbean is the amount of mosquitos because my god if u dont cover yourself in bug spray u get bitten like mad... well i do anyway. At least in Gran Canaria no snakes tarantulas and mosquitos and no jet lag.lol
Never been to Gran Canaria but wow what a pretty place that is and probably more like the north of Tenerife,without sounding disrespectful or maybe it's the time of year but looks to be the older holiday maker there,I think I would miss the buzz of Las Americas /Los Christianos too much but nothing wrong with trying somewhere new.👍

At the start when you went up the back street you should of carried on walking up the steps to a fantastic viewing platform with Ariel view of Puerto De Mogan. It’s our favourite place in Gran Canaria but still enjoy Tenerife better as there is more things to do.🍺😎

We normally get the local bus from playa del ingles to Mogan have a wander round then get the boat from there to Puerto Rico,,, then bus back to playa del ingles lovely day out only around 7 euros
There’s also a modern mall there further up the back too if you ever fancy some retail therapy.
I'm in San Augustin and I'm heading to Mogan on the bus right now. I go home on Sunday and really don't want to go back.

Ruffy619 Sure. I have a lot of equipment. But for my vlogs I use my Samsung Galaxy s10plus on a Joby. I edit in Final Cut pro. 👍🏼

Nice tour of a lovely area. We are off to Lanzarote this year, but Gran Canaria looks favourite for next year. The only downside as I can see it is you don't get a great deal for the £ there. As you pointed out on the previous vlog, you were stung a seriously expensive commission at an ATM, and I noticed that the exchange rate quoted on a board in the last segment was only €1.13/£1. I have been buying €uros here in the UK for €1.16 - €1.18 / £1. It certainly pays to shop around a bit!

No wrong, in Puerto Rico centre there's too many bars too mention they all do beer pints, for 1 euro to 1.50 all day and night, cheapest resort in the Canaries, most places in Tenerife stop doing the 1 euro pints at 6pm, need to get facts correct before spouting nonsense 👍
It is a little bit more expensive but well worth it in my opinion, been twice on holiday and stayed at the Valle mogan appartments, very nice with massive balconies and a supermarket dead opposite, rooms are clean and very comfortable. 👍👍
Glad you're enjoying my favourite island more now! Visited Mogan years ago and still remember the wall mural in a bar there, a painting of London in Winter with people under umbrellas and miserable faces and weather, and then winter in the port of Mogan next to it with the sun, cocktails etc... :-)

Hello. I’m visiting Gran Canaria in a few weeks and would love to explore different areas. How easy is it to rent a car? What paperwork do you need (card license i understand? Do you need green paper license too?
I just used my normal British licence. That was pre brexit.

Hi. I do when I'm filming corporate VT's with my Lumix Gh5 and Sony A7III. But when I'm filming vlogs I just use my Samsung Galaxy s10plus on a Joby. Just ordered the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra. I'm an iPhone user but use Samsung Galaxy phones for the cameras. I get less hassle off people if it looks like I'm just using a phone. I used to have people stopping me filming when I used my pro cameras. 😎👍🏼👍🏼
The MacMaster very true. For your vlog, you definitely don’t need more than a good phone. The quality is so good.

We normally get the local bus from playa del ingles to morgon then get the boat to Puerto Rico have a bit lunch there then head to the bus station and get bus back to playa del ingles,,,,,,,, the whole trip costs around 12 euro each well worth doing stunning place,,,,, and cheap to do yourself rather than book a trip with a holiday company

Don't bother with the Yellow Submarine, you cannot see much out of the windows once at sea as the water is too cloudy, also its expensive for what is only a short time
