- On the 4th May at our 75 Appeal Mini-Gala No.1 Talyllyn returned to traffic, hauling her first public passenger trains in 6 years! Follow her up our gorgeous Railway on her first public passenger train since overhaul, double headed with No.2 Dolgoch.

150 years and still chuffin thanks you talyllyn railway
Seems incredible, but ten years slips by just like that!! No.1 bowed out for overhaul just after the 150th celebrations and is actually 160 years old this year.
Such beautiful sisters also Tal-y-llyn sounded so fed up with Dolgoch

Great film, thanks very much to everyone who supports the railway.
I think this film showcases the results from all the efforts of staff and volunteers at the TR, not only in overhauling No.1 but also in doing all the other work needed to operate and maintain the railway.
I understand that the boiler work for No1 was undertaken by the boiler workshop on the Water cress line
@@eliotreader8220 It was stored in the boiler shop at the Watercress, but all the work done was by Talyllyn Volunteers who live in the area ☺
Fabulous to see Talyllyn back on the rails with Dolgoch, where they belong. 160 years young, and still at it!

What with Talyllyn and Blue Peter both returning after being dipped in woad, the bluebells have some competition this spring.
Particularly loved the 'broadside' drone shots alongside the train.
Lovely - must pay a visit this year.
Not sure about the blue livery, though!
Wonder how Talyllyn's Sudrian twin would look like in blue (without causing too much jealousy)?

That 150-year-old engine is still young, working hard to pull trains in its vibrant and gorgeous blue livery.
