Ascendant is a dungeon crawler roguelike (with some slight bullet hell moments, as you'll see in the video) where you play as a wizard that kills monsters to collect their souls and ascend deeper into the dungeon.

Overall, I really enjoyed this game, and I see room for improvement. The combat is engaging and somewhat challenging - I liken it to souls-like combat where you have to finesse when to attack, run, parry, and eventually dodge. While there were some bugs in the demo, I ultimately loved the game enough to beat it two times! 7/10 try it, it's free!
