  • "Of course they're going to say Pacquiao was hurt, which he could have been hurt. I'm not saying he wasn't hurt or he's not hurt, but, you know, I had two hurt shoulders and two hurt hands and I still went out there and tried my best...they basically stressing a rematch," stated undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather, who less than 12 hours after his impressive victory over Manny Pacquiao spoke more about the performance while getting shaved at home in the Big Boy Mansion by his personal barber. Check it out!

      Did you hear what he said? Pacquiao can fight. He can still beat other fighters out there. This fight was not as close as anyone think. He knows he was lucky to win. He got hurt in 3 occasions. Pacquiao can box, few punches separating the two in every round but whatever Manny won he DOMINATED Floyd as oppose to barely eked out rounds not hurting Pacquiao. Have you seen anyone throw less and still won 4 rounds. Some people see it a very close fight where Floyd got touched a lot. In the two Maidana fights combined, Pacquiao landed more power shots. Floyd has to be worried on the next fight because he couldn't really hurt Pacquiao and he has to really stay away.

      Facts

  • @OKilla86
    @OKilla86 Před 9 lety +61

    The world witnessed what took place on May 2. Every ringside announcer from Showtime to HBO and international sports networks alike to every boxer and analyst in the building agreed he lost. The judges scored the bout correctly 10-2, 8-4, 8-4 UD. Floyd landed a total 34% (148 landing) to Manny's total 19% (81 landing). Power punches a total 48% for Floyd to Manny's 27%.
    Casual boxing fans are embarrassingly naive to the general rules of a professional boxing match and how it's scored.
    Category a) effective aggression: Fighter must be consistent and successful in their attack while moving forward, as well as under control. Manny was not consistent nor under control which lead him to eat check left hooks and right hand counters all night long.
    Category b) Defense: hitting while not being hit which includes; effective clinching (Floyd clinched when needed for instance with leaping right hands or stuffing a counter attack off a counter), slipping, sidestepping, dodging, etc etc. Now lets be honest Manny's defense, not so great, more like below average.
    Category c) Ring Generalship: whom ever controls the action controls the pace, dictates the tempo and wards off attacks is the general. Floyd dictated the fight in the center of the ring and off the ropes. He made Manny fight his fight. Manny had his moments but far too few in between.
    Category d) clean punches: any punch that lands front/side of body, face/side of head. Floyd landed nearly half of those punches, Manny only 27%. Again, he eat jabs, counter jabs, counter rights hands, right hand leads, check left hooks, a couple left hooks, a couple upper cuts, and body shots all night long.
    Floyd landed 81 "total power" punches to Manny's "fight total" 81 punches that's called dominance. Floyd outboxed and out classed Manny for 12 rounds just face it, it is what it is. Give credit when credit is due, accept defeat and move on. #TBT

    Yo on some real shit, I just caught something about Floyd I've never seen before that tells you EXACTLY how advanced this cat is. Notice that at 3:50, once he gets into the "fight thinking" mode, how fucking RAPID and quick his thinking and decision making is. He almost sounds like a high-powered computer, no hesitation, knowing at all times what to do and do next. I know he says he's always 10 steps ahead of an opponent but that shit right there shows HOW. Sick. And notice how once he "snaps out of it," he goes back to talking in his normal pace and demeanor.

    Mayweather so respectful in victory, Pacquiao's an amazing fighter, I wish he'd let go of this shoulder injury talk, its making him look pathetic, Manny beats majority of top fighter, maybe 1 or 2 more fights (Matthysse perhaps) & then retire. For FLOYD, I never want to see him lose, i want him to retire on top

      @Deimian676 Před 9 lety +4

      Sure manny might need a operation. However did u not hear the shit pacquaio talked along side roach for 6 years and not to mention as fight got closer. He basically hyped the crowd up knowing he would lose. Opens himself to a chain of potential law suits. I personally think manny is salty over this and he should have backed out of it were true but he sold us on his talk of going to beat may weather . Why would I want to see may weather rematch this cry baby that should have postponed the fight instead of rattling everyone's cage , not to mention when may weather wants to retire in September. Pacquaio should be kissing may weathers feet if his rematch is granted because he didn't have to rematch him. This is pathetic and wasn't even a close bout to consider a rematch

      ***** Sounds like you don't know how it works for athletes. Manny does not have to do surgery if he would retire now!!. I'm pretty sure if Manny would never fight anymore that shoulder would not bother him really. It's just that it could become a bigger problem if he continue to train hard and fight. In that case YES it's better to do surgery! If his shoulder was really f***d ip bad he would not have been able to do those combinations and also not being able to raise his hands up high.. Trust me! I'm sure he's injured but when you hear people need to do surgery it's just to put things good back together and to avoid bigger problems in this case with his shoulder. You should get into sports and learn more about it instead of trying to make excuses. By the way, after every injury you need time to heal! Is nothing new.

    we don't usually hear Floyd give actual strategy analysis but when he does, it's like a universe of undiscovered boxing equations that pours out of his mouth. it really is amazing to listen to. it gives an insight as to just a fraction of the boxing IQ he possesses and also the speed his mind works at when he's in the ring. he really is unparalleled in the fight game right now and he deserves so much more respect than he's given. he's been so graceful in victory as well, and now it's the "villain" who's giving props and respect and the "Saint" who's making excuses.

    A lot of people dont understand that just because Floyd made the fight look easy, doesnt mean it was actually easy. There was a lot of mental work going on throughout the fight.
    He had a lot of respect for Pac after the fight, saying he knew why Pac was on top of the sport. Keep in mind Floyd averages about 48% connected punches, when he fought Pac he did 39%, there's definitely something that bothered him with Pac.

      The Greatest Pac won 4 rounds at most and that's it. Your boys magical angles, superior hand speed and footwork were nullified. Mayweather made pac look like a "B" class fighter. Roach and Pac were too busy running their mouths and talking crap instead of working on a real game plan to go into the ring against Mayweather. You would think with Roach facing Mayweather before that he would let Pac know that this fight isn't gonna be easy but Roach's ego got his fighter's azz took to school.

      Honestly I feel like Floyd should just retire. I don't want him to mess up any of these young fighters career. I love the Keith Thurman's, Demetrius Andrade's, Earl Spence Jr's, & The Kell Brook's. But honestly, the knowledge that Floyd has will always allow him to beat these fighters. Only way Floyd will ever lose is if he's paralyzed. TBE!!!

      Andre Gaudin i completely agree. he has figured out boxing in and out, he has developed and adopted a style that cannot be beaten. is it very exciting ? no. Is it interesting, for me yes, because i am an amateur boxer myself and i love to study and learn. but as u said i would love him to retire already so he could not mess young talents careers

    You can't even say Pac Man would stand a better chance now because he isn't hurt and has fought him once. Same thing can be said about Mayweather...cept Mayweather figured him out in the first match already. Pac Man has to adjust, Mayweather doesn't. And Mayweather is the king at reading his opponents.

    love or hate Floyd he is most definitely the last of the true greats, only real boxing fans who know the sport appreciate this man's level of skill, he's a throw back who would have held his own in any era IMO, whether he's the best ever is a debate that will never be answered because its a question that is to subjective, but his name does deserve to be regarded amongst the likes of Ali, Robinson and Leonard, and like those fighters only truly appreciated and respected when he's gone from the sport

  • @Silentkill911
    @Silentkill911 Před 9 lety +1

    Good interview. This is one of the few times I've actually seen Mayweather showing some humility, especially over the biggest win of his career. I feel a rematch really isn't necessary. Manny lost, but not as badly as people claim. He didn't have a solid game plan to beat Floyd, and it showed during the fight.
    I feel a rematch would potentially be more exciting than the first fight, but only because Manny would probably be more aggressive and take more risks; such as opening himself up more by throwing a higher volume punches, and eating more of Floyd's counters to get in range for his style of fighting. But that's risky and would take a lot of effort and stamina on Manny's part, and what you gain in aggression you lose in defense. Just look at Manny's last fight against Marquez. Counter punching is effective and Floyd's the best at it. But then again Floyd wouldn't take nearly as many risks to get that perfect counter punch that Marquez got. I don't know...it is what it is...but the fight wasn't close enough to justify a rematch.

      This comment shows that you don't know shit about boxing. Your probably a Pactard. What Floyd did Saturday night was show the world that a dude from the Philippines is no different from the other 47 fighters he clipped. The check hook & the straight right hand kept Manny at bay. Luckily for him, Floyd didn't incorporate the uppercut like his father wanted or it would of been a stoppage. TBE! Don't hate, congratulate

      Andre Gaudin lol floyd couldnt hurt the injured midget at rnd 4 when floyd got hurt he got shook and started to be a ufc fighter and do ufc shit this fight is closer than ppl think those anylist and commentators abd i thnk even the judge r so brainwashed with that so called science of floyd that i think even those pittypat shots that barely land was scored for floyd.pac counter him really good hurt him and make him mis.u can see floyds face all swollen up and the way floyd talk about pac deep inside he know whats up.pac just cannot use hes right that much which is very important on hes arsenal coz of those shoulder of hes.

      ***** lol the midget has a full surgery to prove it..two weeks before the fight pac was not attending hes sparrings roach is even training him tying him left hand only u all see the pattern they save the right hand just for the fight.pac has warrior mentality to those ppl saying pac is the 1 to blame and dnt want this fight is just dumb the midget is even willing to risk hes life and fight injured than to backout or cancelled this fight.i still had the fight draw and i see floyd winning two rounds i was caught up with the bs of the commentators first time isaw it after rewatching it i saw the truth but at the end of the day pac did a good job considering hes fighting injured.
