Stella, Stella Stella... Thank you so much for this video. 🤗 We're pregnant with our first child and my wife woke up last Saturday morning and had a strong desire for waakye. 😫 As a caring and loving husband I had to cancel all my morning appointments and went to the shop to get the ingredients. Your video helped me cook my first waakye and boy I must say it was 😘. God bless you plenty and do keep up the good work. 🤗

Excellent tutorial. Thanks for telling ingredients first, changes along the way, and the length of cooking time. I made it, and it turned out great! I substituted a couple of the spices for other things I had on hand but it was still good. My husband is Ghanian, and he will be pleasantly surprised that I made this. Thanks for sharing your good cooking skills!

Just a suggestion, when I make my waakye I bundled my leaves in cheese cloth and add them to the water to boil for 15+ minutes before adding the peas for deeper color. I take the bundle out just before I add my rice. Makes life easier.
