Stella, Stella Stella... Thank you so much for this video. 🤗 We're pregnant with our first child and my wife woke up last Saturday morning and had a strong desire for waakye. 😫 As a caring and loving husband I had to cancel all my morning appointments and went to the shop to get the ingredients. Your video helped me cook my first waakye and boy I must say it was 😘. God bless you plenty and do keep up the good work. 🤗
Thanks ! my husband is Ghanaian Excellence you did awesome I went to Africa 2015 and tasted all the good food I miss Ghana and my husband!
I'm half Ghanaian and half Haitian. I enjoy food from both sides. Unfortunately, I can't make Ghanaian cuisine as well as I can make Haitian cuisine. I just discovered your Channel today. I love it!!

I'm not African but I looooove this rice and beans with the shito, my friend she's from Ghana, used to make it for me, I would beg her to make me more but only makes for me once in a long while😓
Will like to make you waakye
😌
Excellent tutorial. Thanks for telling ingredients first, changes along the way, and the length of cooking time. I made it, and it turned out great! I substituted a couple of the spices for other things I had on hand but it was still good. My husband is Ghanian, and he will be pleasantly surprised that I made this. Thanks for sharing your good cooking skills!
I love your videos. I started watching yesterday. my husband is Jamaican and cooks very well but I know that all great cooking starts from the motherland. I can't wait to make these dishes for him. I love your energy and Beautiful skin. God bless your family for what you're doing. much love from Chicago
Your husband is doing great learning the language, my wife can only greet people in Twi and we've been together since 2001. Nice videos!
Have your wife try this, my husband will be using it soon

Just a suggestion, when I make my waakye I bundled my leaves in cheese cloth and add them to the water to boil for 15+ minutes before adding the peas for deeper color. I take the bundle out just before I add my rice. Makes life easier.
A typical Ghanaian chop onions with her palm even when there is chopping board. Hahaha l learnt how to use the board when l nearly cut off my fingers. Hahaha
