  • Dr. Jack Dillenberg, Dean of A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ASDOH), relays why health professionals today need to be prepared for patient-centered learning and treatment because,
"So many health issues are linked and associated with the oral cavity. Poverty, obesity, substance abuse, victims of domestic violence..."
The nation is experiencing an unprecedented need for medical schools to produce health care professionals with emphasis on oral health who understand the linkage and have the confidence to reach out and talk to other healthcare providers, such as osteopathic and allopathic physicians, and physician assistants with the understanding and knowledge of how it all interrelates in a whole-person healthcare environment.
Students who come to ASDOH experience innovative technology and faculty, where they're seeing many patients in a variety of settings.
Students make an immediate difference at rotation sites and community clinics where they have the opportunity to treat patients in a one-on-one mentored environment.
