    Beautiful knife. It looks like a snake or river flowing through the knife. Does not look like you intended to make any other kind of knife. I am picturing that knife at a campfire. The cold steel being kept in a sheath that it designed with a river or snake theme.

    Could you set up something like an exhaust fan working thru dust separator like an oversized cyclone collector since the air speed wouldn't be there? For your closed in grinding area.

  • @mitchellfield9213

    Just an odd thought that occurred to me watching this one... Can you do a knife (or sword, or whatever) with more than one damascus pattern in it? Like, make three different billets each with their own pattern, forge-weld them together, and use that?

    beautiful project as always
    I wondered if it's possible to forge a flexible filleting knife or is it made in a different method

    • @TalRohan
      @TalRohan Před 6 měsíci

      flexible and sharp steel is made by using spring steels and tempering to a different temperature..I forget the actual temperature but duck egg blue will make spring steel extremely springy and bendy depending on thickness.

    • @Labrador_Forge
      @Labrador_Forge Před 6 měsíci

      Flexible comes from the distal taper not tempering.

  • @donalddparker
