- In this video I show how I forge weld a high carbon steel billet to make pattern welded Damascus steel to forge into a one of a kind fighting knife. Knifemaking also includes building the handle, and in this project I use some interesting materials to create neat finished weapon.

Another beautiful creation Elijah. Whoever purchases this knife, I hope they display it, for others to appreciate.
Thank you sir!
This knife reminds me of the story I once heard about a young bull, old bull, and a field full of heifers. Beautiful end result nonetheless.
I bought one of your throwing axes. It remains a prized item. I would happily buy some throwing knives from you, if you would make some.
I've been forging for about 5 years... You made that look TOO EASY!
You are correct to call this knife a " fighting " knife ( Anyone would have to fight Me for it , if it was Mine ) !!!!
Love your break downs, and also how all mistakes are included as learning opportunities! Great job!
Amazing craftsmanship!
WOW!! beautiful blade, great work, keep well...
Very nice knife....great workmanship......and thanks for not editing out the f ups.
Great work. I watch your videos as many as I can find.
Thanks for making such a detailed video
Knife so pretty I just had to contribute the swear jar.
Elijah great looking twisted Ws love the handle with the leather looks amazing love your videos Mark😄👍
love the combo of the brass leather and the natural shape of the antler.
Just a tip…glue and compress your leather as a block before you assemble. An added bonus is being able to drill a tang slot/hole through the leather like you would any other hard material.
That's a beauty! Well done.
Thank you!
After seeing the short I had to try to make a handel like that thank for the inspiration
I’ve given up trying to glue leather while on the tang , now I glue up a stack and drill the stack just like if it was a wooden handle , I found it’s easy and less voids
Eli, this is by far the coolest knife to date!!
You really knocked this one out of the park Brother!!!💪🏼🔥🔥🔥👍🏻🤣
Thanks Wolf!
you make that look so easy
love the blade
Beautiful work Sir! Also thanks for showing the failure of the first handle effort.....as a part time maker I found that part very encouraging!
Great build! Excellent way to overcome the "pains".
Hey great video
And a great blade once again 👍👍👍
Thanks I appreciate it!!
Beautiful pattern. I have become very interested in forging since watching 'Forged in Fire on TV.
Real nice finish on the build
Turned out very well, nice and classic looking.
Great knife 👍
Outstanding blade and handle. Great pattern
Absolutely beautiful knife
Love the pattern you got on that knife
I really like this one, my grandfather always said you may have a mind set but forging has a ways of telling , you not telling it, besides it cant hear anyway !!! Lol
Lovely work. I just wanted to say that l am not usually a huge fan of brass, leather, or antler in handles, but the way you put them all together really ended up looking fantastic and compliments the blade very well.
That is one of the most beautiful nice I have ever seen congratulations I wish I could make a knife like that I know I don't have the money to buy one but I wish I did so congratulations on the perfect knife
Nice work
If I were a knife fighter, I'd order one. Outstanding work.
looks sweet
I agree with James Downey. Nice to see you make the chop tests 👍👍.
I am neither s fan of stacked leather nor of antler, but you still made a nice knife.
Love the way that handle turned out. Keep up the good work!
Nice work mate.🙂
Beautiful fighter!
Beautiful, unusual knife, great video
Stunning! Well done.
Your Damascus Knives always look Amazing, and I enjoy watching your videos... Thanks
Thank you!
good job ! keep it going .
Beautiful knife
I appreciate your dedication to proving the hardiness and usefulness of your blades. I see you doing that chopping/shaving test in your videos and it definitely adds something where so many CZcamsrs create something that looks nice, but obviously will not stand up to any tests.
When you were twisting the W s resquare the billet then put the twisted Ws in tile form and call it twisted Texas DubYuz 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔Dub Yuz I bet it would make for a great pattern... Cheers M
Awesome craftsmanship!
Fantasmagorical results! I love the subtle blue shade of that steel!
Gorgeous knife

Yes😍😍😍
I love your work.
OMG that is a beauty!😲
Amazing work
Amazing Blade sir! That was a most enjoyable peek over your shoulder as you went through the process of this build, thanks for taking us along! Funny thing though; for some reason, and for just the briefest instant, no more than a whisper above the sounds of the shop, I thought that I caught the sound of a gentleman's voice over your other shoulder saying something along the lines of, 'hi I'm Bill, Bill Scagel, and I must say, that is one fine blade!', or maybe it was just the reverb from the Little Giant 50 Pounder . . . .🤔? Be well.
Thank you sir

Great work ⚡⚡👍
Whether it's a skilled dog groomer or a master bladesmith at work I find it both enlightening and absorbing to watch and appreciate a skilled craftsman at work… the end result of your efforts was a masterpiece!
Thanks I appreciate it!
When I see people like you, I am proud of human beings, so much effort, and perseverance, a real man, the hands of an artist, I am happy to see this video, thank you man
Very nice…
Another beautiful blade
Sharp looking knife. Great Work as always. Thanks
brass cleaning rods (guns) are generally 13/64 and make nice pins that are easily available
BADASS! Ill buy it today right now…….
I really love the look of this one u did a amazing job thanks for sharing it with us all till next time stay safe and I hope your family is all doing well as well thanks again
If you regularly use sawmill blades, you should get yourself a beverly shears. It is by far the easiest way to cut thiner steel like bandsaw blades. You won't damage the blades on the beverly shears as long as you don't try cutting through the hardened tips of the teeth.
Awesome Knife !!!!!!!!!!!!
You're very good at designing your own knife patterns but I was curious have you ever done a take on the Loveless subhilt fighter? I think that's probably one of the most beautiful blades I've ever seen.
For the leather stack, I recently tried drilling at hole at each end then using a wood chisel to make the two cuts connecting. It was much easier than a razor.
Good idea!
In your future builds it is best practice to fully finish the guard before you install it. Trying to shape it after it is on the finished blade will only result in one of two things. You damage the finish on the blade or you can get a good finish on the top of thd guard.
Dude this is such a badass knife. Outstanding job.
Wow! Very impressive. You sir are a master craftsman.
PRIMO brah. Another masterpiece.
love the knives, very well made and good commentary!
Beautiful work
Great looking knife.
That is one beautiful knife! I can only imagine how much a knife like that would cost.
Beautiful work brother amen
Deer handles are not my thing, and distressed brass, well I don't prefer that either. Thank you for showing me all the science that goes into the work that you do. It's mighty impressive when you come up with designs on the fly, you are very artistic. Now make an out the front switchblade that will go through a brick wall and not close. Then you would be the best in the world with steel.
