It's not insantly obvious, but he's battling himself, or rather two sides of him are fighting, the one being more dark and aggressive, while the side that wins in the end is more campy and fun. The song is about being at a club and feeling like you're locked, frozen and grumpy, and trying to relax by drinking, and the song switching to pop in the end represents a more fun side of him finally winning and taking over. It's kind of darkly humorous, the lyrics have even a bit of a sad undertone, as it's obviously not great that you have to drink heavily to let go and have fun, but I think we all know that that's just how it is for a lot of people a lot of the time. It's very real, it's funny and a bit dark, it's very Finnish, just a great banger of a song.
I think that it's cool that even if you're not that into alcohol, this song can still be extremely relatable. It has a lot of typical elements of finnish culture and attitude so it's obvious for foreigners that it's from Finland. Plus the chorus is easy to sing along to which is awesome and is kind of the cherry top of the cake.
Knowing the meaning makes me like it even more. I definitely had that same relationship with alcohol when I was still drinking, so I do find it super relatable. I love a humorous song with a message.
@@espotpod I never had that phase of drinking and partying. The song still made me feel hyped up and that after hard week i can still make it through and enjoy my life.
I have a similar take. It is about the Finnish mentality or more precisely about the mentality of Finnish men. Reserved and unable to let it loose. Therefore you need to get rid of your reservations and restrictions by taking plenty of Pina colada... or in most cases Koskenkorva. It is a very relatable thing as I go through this process basically every time I visit a nightclub. It is a kinda sad phenomenon but also very realistic... ;)
He is a man who is a serious and tough guy. But when he drinks a pina colada at the bar during the evening, his protection is broken. When enough alcohol has been drunk, he dares to break free to dance. So that's why it's aggressive rap first and turns into dance. UMK songs always have English subtitles available. :)
THis BETTER win! Finally we've got a winning song. Lets see if Finland fails to send the best one out of the bunch and once again choose someone because of their name.
CHA CHA CHA CHA CHA IS MY WINNER!! Please FINSSS this is a gem!! Vote for this and Finland will gets a big vote!! And win Eurovision!! It's a BANGER, catchy and infectious . Is fun and original! ROCK, POP and Techno in ONE!! LOVE IT! 12 points from The Netherlands! 💥💥💥💥💥💥
They went and won the Finnish phone/app voting by over 400 votes compared to the song that came at the second place. So this will indeed be representing Finland in the Eurovision.
It's a fantastic song and I hope it wins. The message is quite unique as well. It's about accepting yourself as man, your inner softness, or femininity and vulnerability. We don't need to act tough all the time and only when we accept who we are, we can be truly happy.
I know it's a year after but I just needed to find your reaction to CCC after watching your Paskana video, omg I just love this 😍🔥💚 Definitely will stay with your channel for longer!
This is like the Pangalactic Gargle Blaster of songs: in its glorious bizzareness it feels like having my brains smashed out with a slice of lemon wrapped round a large gold brick - and I'm loving every moment of it!
I think that the video supports very well the message of the song! You are yourself your biggest opponent to beat in order to let go and be who you want to be! When you win yourself and let your guards down you finally have more fun than ever before. This doesn't have to happen with the help of alcohol, even if in the song it does. 🔥🔥🔥
We this thing called "bileräppi" or party rap in Finland, it is essentially rapping to a dance beat. Often lyrics are humourous etc. and I just love all of it.
It has been soooo great to see these reaction videos recently. International youtubers have found this banger. We are def gonna to send him to Eurovision song contest 2023. Omg I also want to watch that music video again and again..🥳🤣
If you look at the lyrics, that part in the MV with the blond wig is like his weekend party looks/mode, different of his mon-fri personality. 💃💃💃🕺🕺🕺 I also liked this a lot and had to see/listen to it few times in a row! (Did not really like the other UMK songs released so far.) Greetings from Finland! ☺
Now that I have seen the lyrics translation and watched the video again (plus all the great comments) I can appreciate the song and video even more than the first time!
Διάγραμμα Βεν και Eurovision τι άλλο να ζητήσει κανείς από ένα reaction video! Great comments 👌! I hope this will win umk and Eurovision! Love from Greece!
It's funny how you look nothing like the 40 something middle class man I am, but still your reaction to the song was so on point how I felt it. I love the energy in this song!!!
It's a profound unveiling of a man who finally dares to be the Travolta on the dance floor. Ironic to Finnish culture, our men need a lot of drinks to be themselves, the song is both funny and tragic at the same time. Nevertheless it's a real banger with good vibes and I feel like Finland is finally doing the Lordi again!
My TOP 5 from UMK 2023 (so far): 1. Käärijä - "Cha Cha Cha" 9/10 2. Keira - "No Business On The Dancefloor" 8/10 3. Benjamin - "Hoida mut" 7.5/10 4. Lxandra - "Something To Lose" 7/10 5. Robin Packalen - "Girls Like You" 5/10
Even so he himself does rap-music, his greatest and most favorite influencer is the Rammstein. 🤘 That's from where he got ideas and inspiration to this song. (I think you can hear it, and naturally see it as well.) He himself told this in Finnish newspaper. Ps. He had have that hairstyle for over decade... probably influenced by Rammstein as well? 🤔
The song basically is the story about "usual Finnish man", who is little shy etc... but after few drinks he beats his shyness, gets free and goes to dance floor to relax - like he always wanted. 😇 Cha cha chaaa! 🕺❤
I think UMK has english subtitles on all of their videos if you wanna use them. Personally i absolutely loved the voice of Lxandra and their stage show could be epic, but i think cha cha cha or Partion boys will be the one that gets picked.
@@Thomas_Heinonen thanks for watching! I’ve watched some videos of his live concerts and expect he should be pretty good on the UMK stage. He is up against lots of good songs and performers tho so it will be a tight competition.
@@espotpod He was excellent in his live preformance, his vocals are amazing, do you get winner wibe? Im just worried the tempo change is gonna ruin it', I have winner vibe until that moment ;) BTW are you gonna watch the swedish final this weekend ?

I LOOOOOOVE THIS!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Techno, rock, rap, pop, metal🔥 And Käärijä has a great sense of humour! We have a winner here in our umk😀
I agree!! It’s such a great mix of genres but doesn’t feel like a copy of anything else.
I normally *hate* techno, but mixed like this, it's actually ok :D

You voiced my thoughts on this perfectly! This definitely has potential. Finns seem to be really into it!
I’m sure UMK will be a tight competition, but this definitely has a chance!!

My winner
me too.. just want to see again just to understand everything I just see :)
It starts out as dark techno, almost cyber goth time then it accelerates into overdrive parts and even a japanese style pop intermezzo
I love your personality ❤

I did not know this about Finnish culture. But I can relate to the message even as an American.
This has to win umk
he is fighting himself in ring and when he wins he becomes new man.
Its sort of Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde story🤟🏻🍻🤟🏻
chä chä chä chää
I bet the first sketch for this song included shots shots shots meme song.
Very heavy Electric Cowboy We Got The Moves influences on this song

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
"How did they manage to wrap a joke song into this" you asked. Well, he's Käärijä, which translates to 'One who wraps'. :P
The more I learn of him the more I like him. No clue what he is saying in his tiktoks but they are hilarious
CHACHACHA
Have you reacted to Live-version allready?
I did not film a reaction because I watched it live. But I might do a review video.
I have posted a new reaction to the live!

They do have subtitles, and I had them on when I was reacting, but it was too hard to read them and listen and react at the same time.
@@espotpod Oh yeah true, that makes total sense.
Yeah, he raps too (and is great fun): czcams.com/video/3JI_adBJ9R0/video.html
Ooh this song is so fun! Video is great too. I love his creativity and that he sings in Finnish. Such an awesome language.
music wise, i LOVE the first part of the song, its sooo extremly raw, but after the tempo change,, .......not so much .
I think I also prefer the first part, but I do like that the temp change adds something different and how it works thematically with the song.

I made a reaction to it as soon as it came out but it got copyright blocked 😢
@@espotpod oh
I bet Finland will choose Robin because he's most famous artist there but this is actually better song.
I hope that we are not that stupid
Robin isn't that popular here. It's a misbelief. We won't be sending him 😊
doubt it, i’m finnish and literally no one likes that song here
Robin is out! Don't worry!
Please not that generic kids music. This works for for ages from teenagers to boomers, is funny, different and has the energy needed.
You know he's singing about alcohol, getting shit faced so he wouldn't have to worry about tomorrow? And that's all the song is about. Getting wasted so he can let his guard down so he can be "free" and dance and so on
*Music? This shall be music???*
*These people are sick!*
*And there will be the day everybody can see. Remember my words.*
