I think Simon is a bit “brainwashed” by his Chinese contacts (he also admitted he traveled to China frequently). In recent history, China has always been the aggressor toward not only Taiwan but all its surrounding neighbors. Who was the one poured “cement islands” in the middle of the ocean so it can claimed /expanded its “territory”? Why are those India/China border conflicts started?
I suspected that Simon’s Chinese friends want people to believe that if they invaded Taiwan, it must be US’s fault, because they are “forced” to. Did US also “forced” Russia to invade Ukraine? No, Russia wanted to and they thought they needed to for their nation’s pride and “survival”. Same for China.
This guy is a (Manchurian Candidate).
Anyone can be a caller of doom and eventually be correct.
