I believe my only regret as of now is not going through drone works through your link. I ordered from autel pilot which is affiliated with autel robotics i believe. I feel bad as I know you benefit from this. Happy flying brother. I watch all or most of your videos. Great editing and lots of life in your videos too
Thing is a beast. Flew mine in the Mojave Desert this weekend. It handled 50 + mph an hour gusts like a champ. My Evo would have been a fly away. I'm sure it's strong at see.
I am so stoked Santa Claus got me this Jones for Christmas it is taking me a little time to get used to it as I fly with DJI much but I got nothing but time an opportunity and your channel to help guide me I appreciate this

I bet the flight time of the EVO 2 comes in handy, as well as the power, but it does not look like it was that windy out there.
I think the gimbal tilt issues really does need more attention by Autel. Maybe adding a quick gimbal adjust screen, or ‘click this button and use the thumb wheel to adjust the Gimbal tilt.’
Well, keep up the videos that show how the Systems work in real life, as well as the suggestions to the manufacturers on how to improve them. I know they are watching and reading the comments.

Excellent footage and whatever grading you put on is just fine, looks pro quality to my eye. Seems to have tracked well, but it actually seemed like you were flying manually for the most part. Great day on the water, good for you!

Cmon! Hand Launch! 😂😂😂😅😂😅😅😂 You need one of those fancy “H” launch pads 😜 I’ve had only one bad launch. The first one. It was still in 🇨🇳 Chinese Mode. I switched that off in my controller and turned on Merica mode. 🇺🇸 and flew 6.96 miles today. 🙃😎

In Boat mode... can it locate the new home point from where you first took off from.. Since being on a boat, the home point changes. Does the Evo 2 recognize this and compensate? Thanks and great video👍🏽🤝
Orland ... from my understanding the home point doesn’t change from where you took off from. I’m interested too, in finding out how to change thee Home point to where ever the remote is. You would think this would be a no brainer but seems like it’s slipped through the cracks.
Nice question, I have the 8k version and I've not thought about this. I know there is an option in the settings for under general for Home Point to be ME or AIRCRAFT but I've not tested that at all yet.
@@wildsrv6416 if its the same as the Evo 1 home point to be "Me" just makes it that the home point is set to your location. It will not follow you if you move away from that. You will then have to re-set your home point once again to "Me" to update it.
@@jjdevega I will try a "test" soon possibly tomorrow and simply take off from one spot and walk over to another location far enough away that it could be "boat drift or travel" lol aka large grass field but remote in hand like it would be on a boat.

Great review, but a question. If for any reason the drone decides to return to home, what happens if the boat isn’t exactly where it took off from?
I tried same like your position but my drone crashed in the SEA also speed up 93.6km.

Anyway quick question..Has there been any updates for the evo 2 since this video. I ordered one about 4 days ago and im wondering if this toilet bowl issue has been addressed in boat mode?
Also, i thought my evo2 would be shipped from Autel Robotics USA Washington and i saw it was coming from Austin, Texas. Thought that was maybe because its a 3rd party seller but i ordered straight off Autels site. Thanks brother great content!

Should you select (me) as homepoint in settings also after you cancel out boat mode? If you launch in boat mode and want your return to home be where you (and remote) are located does selecting "me" make that happen? Just learning as much as possible before I get my evo 2. Hope you had a good 4th bro

I get the take off out of boat mode and what do you set it on to bring it back...I’m supposed to get mine this week so maybe I don’t even need this answered but I am planning on doing a lot of videos fishing and over water.....

How can you calibrate the horizon?
I have a center console fishing boat but there is not a flat level place on my boat to turn on my Evo.

What up KenDog! You know I always have the boat mode on on the evo1 and never flew from a boat and it never did no toilet bowl effect at all. I'm surprised to hear it from you bro. I use it to hand launch it.

Great flight with the Evo loved the footage I am thinking of buying one but I am not sure yet. I would love to see a more improved Mavic Zoom as I am very happy with mine but I think a better Zoom camera would be what I am looking for.

At the time the gimbal wouldn’t calibrate and there was issues with the software

Hi I have a question. I Just has my evo 2 and I did the Update firmware v.2.1.0 I don't know the reason but the drone now has (IMU LOSS )no way to fix it when you did the Update has any issue with the drone ?

Is this the 8k or the Pro?
Easy way to tell is, 8k has a circular/round camera housing. The 6k has a square housing.

No problem and yeah I fully agree, it sold me on the 8K. When the time comes and I want the 1 inch 6k I'll just buy the cam and swap it! I think that's super cool you can do that.
