GOSH this video reminds me of everything I loved about those L10 Metro Bs, even with the ridiculous rattle...it's actually a fond memory I have of them, lol. I sure do miss those buses. Very well done
Riding 9408 1991 Flexible Metro B Diesel Engine this bus it equipped with a Cummins L-10 six Cylinder 8.3Liter 250hp EPA98 transmission Voith DWAI D863.2 ADR -3speed
@@jimmytrussel488 Yes, METRA did have 10 Metro "A" 35096-6Ts 1121 to 1130, with the 6V92TA engine, built 1984. They also had some Orion Is (the 30-foot 01.502) with the L10 and Voith, though. They were numbers 1135-1144 built in 1988, and 1148-1157 built in 1991.
@@ClassicTVMan1981X what year did the flx metro retire? I stayed in Columbus in 2004 with my aunt and went to high school out there I remember the Orion 1 and also the new flyer d40lf they had at the time
nothing wrong with the Cummins L10 diesel with the voith automatic transmission it keeps the passengers and the driver happy the 1990 flxible metro b adb buses are nice for the environment but boring
Aaaaaaaaahhhh! That Rattle Takes Me Way Back. In A Good Way. R.I.P. Flxible. That Was A Good Bus Company.
Sounds so sexy. The Cummins L10 and Voith combos are some of the most beautiful and lovely bus sounds I've ever heard 😍😄😀

This prolly the only 40ft 9400 left in service
That is a great recording!
We had double deckers with Cummins L10 and Voith 4 speed gearboxes and they went like the clappers. Easily attaining and passing the 60mph mark.
clean ass video man
straight up like
@landoverdivision321 I'll be D.C. from 8 A.M.-6 P.M., well mainly in the afternoon since I'll be allow to be free around the city area.
I caught one during evening Rush Hour today.
"B" is for best since they were veterans and outlived the 1992 Orion V's as well as all the Flxible Metro-D's from 1993-1994
A+ for this one in terms of how long it's been in service
damn.
@Q65LTD Thanks man.
Unsure if I'll be able to see of them still running there by next week with my arrival there. Chances are unlikely.
They should have had these in both Meridian, MS and Columbus, GA!
Didn't columbus GA have flx metro at one poimt?

My guess would be units 1121 to 1130 were retired in 1996 at least.
Yep I remember seeing them back during my childhood a few times when my family and I use travel down to Columbus from Atlanta to visit my grandmother
Was this bus still in service after many MEtro-D's and some Metro-E's?

@enisvideos Not too sure.
@Southeastern4204 This and 9404 maybe.
@GRTCrid3r HAHA thanks son.
They all gone now....well at CET but they'll be gone
@seClip9 You might get lucky if it's during rush hour.
@bigblockz8 Damn is right. LOL.
They should have put a Detroit Diesel 6v92 engine in this WMATA 9408 Flxible Metro B bus
Jefferson Parish , Louisiana had these in 1982 and 1984
Houston Metro in 1985
Los Angeles from 1982-1991
