Zlatan is correct he is the best player in the MLS. If you consider yourself a talented player and in your prime you should be playing in Europe. You should not be playing in the MLS between the ages of 26 and 33 if you are the best of the best. I don't understand why Carlos Vela and Giovanni Dos Santos did not stay in Europe and battle for a starting position. Vela and Santos will go down as two players that had great talent and potential, but where never able to live up to the potential that they showed as youth. I do understand why. You have to be happy as a footballer or any athlete. Vela doesn't have anything to prove. He's 30 yo making 4.5 mil living in LA, with the ability to go home pretty easily. He was in Europe for 12 straight yrs and had a good career. He's played for his national team. Opted out. Would prob be selected if he wanted to play again. Doesn't want to. "Disappointing" for whom?
