You don’t have to use the purple shade every time you do you’re eyes with this palette. If the purple shade doesn’t work for you don’t use it. Every eyeshadow palettes I have every bought has at least one shade in it that I don’t like or doesn’t preform the way I want it to, so if that’s the only things wrong with this palette it is still a wonderful palette. Did you every review the bloodsugar palette from February? I know you said you ordered the palette but I don’t think I ever saw you review it. When can we expect a look from that palette?
If she doesn't like the palette what can we do about it? It is true that one of the main colors in that product is the purple so... It didnt work for her last time and she's giving it another chance and still not working.

You dont have to care what people think of you but your lack of knowledge on pigment colors is unreal so giving a review on a pallet when your not even using the colors correctly...a pigment color has to just be packed on, the fact that your trying to create a smoky eye cut crease look with all straight pigment colors is exactly why your ending up with a blotchy patchy mess because YOU dont know what your doing...so shaming a pallet because you dont like someone when your not using it correctly is ridiculous...ALOT of people dont know this about pigment colors either so they are just going along with your opinion....and the fact you had to do a whole 1 min outro on how much you love yourself and that you dont care what people think of you makes me feel like you really do care and now just wanna be a hardass

The pressed pigment vs eyeshadow is regarding FDA regulations and has nothing to do with how the shadow performs. It still has filler and binders etc but since it is made with dyes (to be vegan) and not naturally occurring colorants, there must be a label releasing all responsibility. It’s all the same except what is used to produce the color. Jen Luvs Reviews explains it all with the James Charles palette. It’s nothing more than a play on words.

It's because it's a pigment, and a purple. She's buffing it out which doesn't work for pigments it just brushes them away. They have to be packed down and this was no secret about this palette. It works for me and I'm not on youtube.

Well yeah, if you pat it on 4 times with a dense brush in the crease over a WET, UNSET primer, it's going to be patchy.
It's because some of the colors including the purple are pressed pigments. Just like the blood sugar has a shit ton of pressed pigments.
I had the same problem with the purple. It blends like complete shit no matter what I do. Dry base, wet base, dense brush, sparse blending brush, etc. I've tried to make it work every single way possible because that was the shade that really sold me on the palette but it was just a disaster. The lighter green shimmer, Alien, also faded really fast even with using a glitter glue.
I loved Blood Sugar, but his last palette, Thirsty, and this one just aren't doing it for me, sis.
J* stans are some of the most vocal so I'm not surprised you got a lot of hate for not giving the palette a rave review, but don't let them get to you.
Are you kidding though? You are putting down a WET primer on your eyes, not setting it, then putting FOUR rounds of extremely pigmented eyeshadow patted down onto that wet primer and then wondering why it's patchy? Wet primer is only for ACCENT WORK like a halo eye or a cut crease, you can't just apply it all over your eye, pat some very dark shade in the crease and bitch that it doesn't blend. You are a good make up artist and I'm sure you know this. Also why would you pack it on by going into the pan FOUR TIMES before trying to blend? You take a little, blend, then apply a little more, blend. You put way too much at once IDK what you would expect. Despite this, the left side looks perfectly blended which is a statement to how great the shadow (and your brush) must be. I don't even have this palette but....you're really trying it.
You do not set P.Louise base, at all. It’s supposed to be wet.
Actually, you can do it both ways- leaving your primer un-set helps a shadow show a stronger pigment. Setting makes it blend out softly. Artists use both methods with great success
i use the same technique, apply on a wet primer and dont usually get patchy appearance with most brands

Kween but you are supposed to apply it a little differently and they can be a little finicky. She even says she’s not a MUA so I don’t think it’s she pallets fault. I think it’s her lack of skill which I don’t mean to throw shade at. But when you are more experienced you know how to apply pressed pigments correctly. Heck, I couldn’t do it. But I bet James Charles could make this look perfect.

Ok so the purple is difficult to work with but that's only one shade though the others seem beautiful to me. I mean to be a bit positive every pallet has that one or two shades that cause problems when blending. Or is it just me ?🤷♀️
Definitely! She did say the rest of the shades were good in her last video. She didn't bash the pallette or Jeffree, she just had problems with the purple and she got attacked for it.
Sabrina Levasseur you’re right. the colour purple is one of the hardest pigments to work with and i honestly think Jeffree pulled the whole pallet together very well

I think it turned out really beautiful. I think that the palette is really beautiful and unique with the shade selection and obviously won't work the same for everyone. I live for a beautiful cool tone look. I can't wait to see what Jeffree releases this year!! 😁

Hm, I did not have issue with the purple one, it did feel a bit wierd on touch because it has formula that is different from all others. But I did use the lime green one over my lid before going over with purple and since I saw Jordans previous video I went in carefully, blending very little at first and then when I had the base, packing on with a flat brush to make it more intensive (because it does not look like it does in pan unless you pack a ton)... It did end up wearing very nicely. But you know, the fact that this one is mostly silica based while most of the shadows are mica/talc based... it behaves differently. For some people its patchy for some it isn't, who knows how it behaves with different foundations, moisturizers, skin textures, skin secretion... if it works for you use it if it doesn't work for you then don't use it. I hate green and purple but I had to get the palette because it's Jeffree :D :D, there is still enough of other shades to make a look + Pluto is an amazing face highlighter (for me).
I've found with pressed pigments you can't blend them out like normal eyeshadows you have to pack them on. That might be why the purple shade isn't working for you. Idk I don't own any of jefffree starrs products so this is just from my experience after using pressed pigments from James Charles pallete.
Though the purple was funky you came through with a nice look! I give you props for even bouncing back with another video cause honestly one person's experience with make up will vary to the next. I felt like the was an aggressive to the point yet mature approach! I admire the woman you are becoming. Growing up comes with lots of changes. Don't let the shade take your cool away.

You should wait for the primer to dry then start with a light base color, then darker darker blending as you go

the purple is a pressed pigment if I remember correctly it’s the only one in the pallet so you need to understand what comes with that. Also using a wet base with a pressed pigment isn’t going to go over well, something a little more tacky then wet would work a lot better or set the base because the shadow is just going to stick and not blend properly. Maybe try some of the other shades because this is the first complaint I’ve seen because everyone is using the proper technique to test the shadow. I’m a complete amateur with like no experience and I’ve never had that issue

I actually really enjoyed the purple shade. I personally use a mac paint pot set with a shadow. But maybe it just doesn't work for everyone

I think that purple shadows are just tricky in general. Tricky to work with, tricky to blend, and from what it sounds like tricky to formulate. That being said I don’t think it looked bad at all. A little patchy in just one area but I think you were maybe a dip or two away from getting it fixed up. I’ve only used JS blood sugar but I’ve heard his formulations are extremely good. This might be one of those Subculture things where there’s just a lot of pigment that our eyelids are saying “what the fart!!” Ha ha ha I think it was fine!!!!
Hmm I have this pallet and the purple works for me and I apply it exactly how you just did so I don’t understand why it’s not working for you. Maybe it’s probably a bad batch ? Stuff like that happens, but I love how everything turned out for you and you looked so beautiful ❤️

That p.louise base I lobe Mine I do,But I've noticed it doesn't work well with some shadows,and I thought I was the only one and I've started hearing it from alot of people now.But You can take alot of high-end eye bases and do the same thing just don't set it.

You don't deserve hate for your previous video, but that purple shade is not that its bad or patchy...its a pressed pigment. It doesn't and can't blend out like a normal eye shadow, its meant to be packed on. But still you don't deserve any hate for giving an opinion. Kind regards. 😊

This happened to me using the green shade and I kept patting and blending & it kept coming off and I had to repeat it and it kept doing the same thing so I gave up
