If Tony had said that Punk endangered the safety of employees by flying off the handle and left it at that, I don’t think Tony gets clowned. If he’d said “I have to prioritize my employees’ safety, even at the cost of my top star”, I think people would respect that. How can you fault a boss stepping up to protect people in the back who aren’t wrestlers, who have nothing to do with this shit, who were put in harm’s way and who have voiced concerns?
Saying “I was scared for my LIFE” sounds like an inconvenienced Karen in the drive thru line of Chik-Fil-A or something. It’s such a dramatic statement that the only way to justify it is to release the CCTV footage. The accounts we’ve heard don’t rise to the level of mortal danger.

@@flyguy7825 it’s not just about how tony felt and I’m sure he was scared it’s more about what happened directly after, punk still went out and wrestled and by reports wasn’t asked to leave the ppv. If tony was truly afraid for his life or the safety of people around he should have had punk escorted out when the situation first happened. The reason everyone saying tony anything about tony saying he feared for his life is because we all know it’s what his lawyers told him to say and not what Tony’s actions and what happened after kinda showed.

If Punk was such a maniac, then why didn't TK call the police? I feel there is too much conspiratorial bs by the Elite to blame everything on Punk. From the Young Bucks celebrating after the show to Jack Perry antagonizing Punk on camera. There is proof that doesn't absolve Punk completely of any wrongdoing but doesn't just blindly dup all the blame on him.
Collision was the best booked program AEW has ever had now that Punk is gone, I hope the company dies hard. Also, Jack Perry should also be fired.

AEW is practically Young Bucks/The Elite country,which is something that CM Punk learned(now that he's gone from AEW[and possibly heading back to the WWE]).
Here we go folks, we have just witnessed the beginning of the end of AEW as a serious promotion. First Cody leaves and now CM Punk is fired. This only sends one message, serious professional wrestlers are not welcomed in AEW. If you are not part of the joke wrestler circle jerk of the Elite, then don't even think about coming to AEW. Unless you are willing to put on funny costumes, do gymnastics, aggressive parkour, roll around in live hand grenades, plutonium, and live crocodiles while biting the heads off live chickens, or do bad comedy skits, you better get out of AEW. I predict MJF will be next to leave, he is way to good and talented to keep getting dragged down by the Elite children. In a few years when we are watching videos about the implosion of AEW, this is one of the moments that will be pointed to. Tony has to much money for AEW to ever totally die, but it will be relegated to the dark corners of the wrestling world. Never to be taken seriously again. As long as the Elite can get together with uncle Dave and Alvarez in their basement to rub oil all over each other while smelling their own farts and talking about how great they are, they will be happy and all serious wrestlers will be WWE bound.

Imagine Tony trying to run a wresting company in the 80s when steriods, drugs, alcohol, rigors of he road and general insanity were at all time highs. He'd probably last about a half hour.
And you would not have any of those guys trying to fight someone backstage at their biggest show ever right as their match is about to start. I don’t care what beef two teammates may have in the nfl or nba or mlb, you will never ever hear of two teammates getting into a fight minutes before kickoff of the Super Bowl , the tip off of game 7 of the finals, or the first pitch of game 7 of the World Series. If a guy threw a punch at a teammate in those situations, the rest of the team would throw him out the building in a heartbeat. Just because clearly he is not focused and choosing the worst time to make an event about himself.
It’s like what Logan roy said in succession about his kids and why he will not hand the company to them. Their actions simply show they are not serious people. That’s punk
