      People need to understand that Royce knows well that Eminem is going to come up in every chance they get and he still does the interview he is not stupid he is taking advantage of being close to Eminem. You know the two times diamond best selling rapper of all time, people come for Eminem but may stay for Royce and he knows this, if he did not want Eminem to come up all he has to do is say that before the show and it will not come up. People want his favor and so will not anger him.

    • @mikelangelo5022
      @mikelangelo5022 Před 4 lety +11

      M4X I completely understand that. Royce admits the Em questions don't bother him because he's a dear friend. Bad Meets Evil questions are fine because it's relative, but to use Em in the title when he is hardly mentioned in the interview is disengenuous and disrespectful.

      Mikelangelo Think about it bro. Eminem and Royce are damn near on par with each other in terms of talent, but Em is just SOOO much more popular. If Eminems name is going to bring in more viewers, and therefore more audience for Royce, how is that a bad thing? Thats why i doubt he would care. You don’t even know my ethnicity or anything about me yet you call me racist just because I call someone black a pos because he is a pos for not returning his call and hearing his side of the story. Also him saying the n word isn’t even confirmed it didn’t even come from a reliable source. Now your comments have made you look unintelligent and made you look like the one who is racist. Go away troll.

    • @Quietisviol3nt
      @Quietisviol3nt Před 4 lety +50

      balle733 and this is how rumors get started. First it was one of royces friends now it’s royces son. You know who started the rumors? Vlad who loves to start drama and say shit that isn’t true. If Yelawolf really said something racist then how come Royce don’t come out and say what he said? Because he doesn’t have anything. Yela came to him respectfully with a phone call to discuss what the matter was about and Royce denied his phone call like a little bitch. Talk man to man. Hash things out and get it over with. Yela should come back with bars and destroy him. So me saying someone black makes me racist? You just said only a “white person” would say that and you don’t think that’s racist? Hmm. Search up the word double standard in the dictionary and study it. This is my last reply to you because you lack of intelligence isn’t worth my time.

    The thing is he contradicts himself as being petty or vindictive when he’s asked if he puts yelawolf in the same category as kid rock as far as backpacking off hip hop. He says “right now...I do” meaning he’s only saying that because he’s got a current issue with him. Yelawolf came up off paying homage to the culture and was straight hip hop. Kid rock was as much hip hop as limp bizkit was. Lame ass comparison. Also it’s pretty lame to say “he could have reached out” then go onto say he did reach out and you didn’t respond. How fuckin childish are you?

    • @CrayzMark
      @CrayzMark Před 4 lety +2

      Agree with ya. However Kid Rock started off rapping in the late 80s, nd dropped his first project in 1990. Are rap artists not allowed to venture out into different genres. Look at what Nelly did. Other rappers/groups like Pimp C, Nappy Roots have elements of country, rock in their music.

    • @gmoney2528

      MarkB 1181 nobody knows those projects though. On top of that one could argue that although he may have started out that way he found his niche and went to more of a rock sound. Yelawolf has always stayed hip hop even through his country / rock mixes. Idk. It’s stupid for people like Royce to automatically make someone a culture vulture simply because they are white. He’s done that before.

      I think you misunderstand that exchange. Yela didn't reach out until AFTER the verse dropped. He was saying he should have reached out BEFORE and that verse never would have happened. You sound like a super Yelawolf fan, so I'm not judging your intimate response to this, but Royce is quite known for having hands. If you think he is fake, you really are out of touch with who that man is.

    • @gmoney2528
      @gmoney2528 Před 4 lety +6

      Om Wow no I didn’t miss anything. How exactly was yela supposed to know how pissed Royce was BEFORE the verse dropped? On top of that it’s not about being a fan of one more than the other, if anything I like their music equally. If you want to know though I’ve done business with Slumerican, yelawolf , shady records and interscope etc. Its about knowing a little more than the average watcher. Yela and Royce aren’t best friends, they don’t communicate like that. The incident Royce is talking about didn’t even directly have to do with yela. It was a third party. My point is that you can’t mention he didn’t reach out then mention he did but you ignored him. I don’t care if it was before or after , one min you make it sound like he’s a total dick but then when he reaches out you become the dick? Doesn’t make sense on his part as far as not wanting to spread negativity. Lastly I never used the word fake. I said childish. Which Royce is a little petty. He’s proven that in the past. Even with Em. But finally idk how many years back you’re talking about but Royce hasn’t had a fight with anyone since the early 2000’s. Last person he confronted was Reakwon and he didn’t throw any hands. So all that talk is unnecessary. I’ve personally seen yela beat the shit out of people as well. Idk why we are talking about that though. 🤷‍♂️

      Pretty much agree. Like I see where he tried to take us, & what he was going for, & why. I think he might've heard the criticism he received thru his career, & attempted to put it to bed, ("Too old, too lyrical miracle, not really saying anything, doesn't make the best crafted SONGS/ALBUMS, is an asshole to other artists lol, etc...mind you, I either don't fully agree with all of this, or think it's nitpicking & he's just set the bar too high in his career for even himself to reach, fans n haters too, seems like ppl place unfair expectations on him with a criteria they don't hold other artists to esp other rappers they like. Cuz his young past is really his only comp. So imo he should NOT have let criticism get to him, & almost force him to make music he didn't necessarily want to make or to fix minor negative shit that wasn't that broken...since the music/album kinda suffered cuz of this mindset. But he's just a hiphop head, respects ppl opinions, & listens to his fans n even his critics & tried to make up for it, whether the criticism was warranted or not.
      So idk if that was honorable n the hiphop head in him...or his competitive ego, which most goat artists have, wanting to quiet the negative noise. Basically He let the negative criticism minority n "fixing his weaknesses" dictate how we went about it instead of the majority positive props n sticking to his strengths. Just speculating btw idk shit maybe Revival just wasn't it lol )
      But seems he Tried to settle into A mature grown folk lane w/ more "conscious" content, fully fleshed out songs, & a complete album. & Not afraid, love way u lie, relatable adult father his way thru the album plus with recognizable/young collabs tho to offset his mature content. Never felt..."right" to me tho, or him it seems. He got pissed that he listened to criticism tried to fix it n stillllll got hate esp for the very things the opposite got hate for in his past, said F### THIS, & took his anger out on current hiphop n reminded fools who he was lyrically on Kamikaze. But while Revival was just a failed attempt with good intentions imo, to me Kamikaze was a rushed emo response to Revival n it's own criticism. Lyrically it's all-time Inspired Em with flows pockets patterns bars etc just didn't have the best songs n wasn't really a complete album, totally diff almost opposite issues Revival had.
      But "Music To Be Murdered By" is what both albums tried/wanted to be, neither album was, & was the best of both combined w/o flaws either had. Kept his tried n true strengths AND fixed perceived weaknesses his work has esp recent years.
      MTBMB is a legit complete n cohesive album, with bops, bangers, conscious rap, bars, w/ good production, hooks, n features.. n just well crafted SONGS. & Was the best of all the diff Em/Marshall/Shady lanes, styles, bags, etc that made him a great, all combined into one great ass project. & His pen is still as good as it always is n ever was. To drop this in his mid 40s with nothing left to prove deserves major props, & should get new generation hiphop fans/artists respect, n cement his all-time great n legendary artist legacy. If it already wasn't that is, gotta be now
      (Sorry for the Stan-ish saga I just typed lmao but I just got going on the topic n wanted to make sure I did Em right n fully explained my pov lol my bad)

    How is yelawolf living off the back of hip hop culture? He's been in the rap game for over a decade and always shown respect to it. If these obviously bs accusations were true and this is really how yela treats black people, I doubt there would be so many working with him.

    50 Cent said it back in '03, Eminem don't like to take credit for the amazing things he's done for people, Royce Da 5'9 is amazing but the truth is, we wouldn't know who he is without Eminem, especially with the features Eminem gets him on and the whole album they did together.

      victor keeps it 100 y’all lying!! Royce been around forever and nobody was knowing him until around 2010. He been writing songs for dre and em since dre released 2001. Suffice it to say, Eminem did put a spotlight on him because he became a whole diff lyricist when he was doing projects with em. That’s as part of him evolving. It’s not a knock bro, same as nobody knew em without Dre or 50 without Eminem. It’s the way it goes. They preach putting others on.
