I have a question for all my dance girls out there. What do you do or wear on your cycle?? Especially with partners and being this close? I’ve been scared to take a physical class because of this and only done online classes
If you are not hindered by symptoms during your period to participate in lessons, your hygiene products you usually use should work just fine. I never had any issues with slip and pad during exercise. Tampons work, too, if you can wear them. I don't know about the cups, though. That was an immediate nope for me.
Tbh I’m surprised these ballet dancers even have periods. They look starved and exercised nearly to death. Surely, just like with eating disorders, periods disappear quite often??
My teacher allowed shorts in her class so I would wear a skirt or booty shorts and wear a pad (I CAN NOT use tampons) and then my mom would give me extra leotards, pads, and shorts in case but just that was good enough. I’d say it depends on how bad your period is though. If it’s like at that level where you get symptoms or your like 5 days in, I’d say just don’t go, or bring them tampons AND the pads 💀💀
😂 This reminds me I was doing wall climbing and I got a horrible calf cramp and started yelling for a friend to help me get down. He was panicking not knowing were to grab me because the only place was my chest. I yelled at him: JUST DO IT, YOU IDIOT. Like, in that moment, the panick is so real we aren't worried about it being appropiate or not, just save us from falling.
The muscles and physical demand needed for any kind of dance where you’re lifting a partner or being the partner that is lifted is crazy! I have mad respect for all dancers! 💪✊
It's so wonderful to see these young, amazing ballet dancers at such a high level, be able to just have a little fun. I bet it develops their trust and camaraderie with each other. It's so beautiful and refreshing to see ❤
As a former ballet dancer turned movement therapist, the hyper-extension really gets to me. Can we please get to the place with ballet where we no longer think the stuff that destroys young bodies looks beautiful?
I'm glad you show people doing ballet smiling and having fun because so many people take and think ballet is so serious and only serious when it is far from the truth and I wish the girls stayed in the scorpion position to see what she would have looked like upside down that would have looked sick

I watched some competitive cheerleader practice on youtube. The accidental 🍑 grabs happen, but better than being dropped and hurt 😂
Actually it happens a lot and if you get mad about it then yeah you can look that up i would get reported if I say it
