  • I was not expecting True Detective Night Country to be such a contentious topic, yet here we are... spearheaded non-other than by.... show creator Nic Pizzolatto?? Who is right here? #truedetective #truedetectivenightcountry #review #yapping

The show would have been fine if it wasn’t titled True Detective. I liked it minus few dumb ass things, but if it was just Called Night Country without the True Detective title, it would have been fine. It was NOT TD at all. Like not even close. Completely different feel, and flavor. The ending was stupid af too.

It wasn't that bad. At least we got a tidy resolution to the murder mystery. Season 3 didn't even solve the case and left it open ended.

I haven't heated a show so much in a long time!
    Some of the worst writing!
Character development plot structure you name it there was so many things that were bad in the show.
The ending was so ridiculous it even compounded how bad the show really is. To come find out that the person that did this horrible season is getting another season is mind baffling???
When I saw the critics reviews I realized there's no more credibility anymore they're all bought and paid for! No way can they all give this a good review if there's not some kind of shenanigans going on🤬

I feel like if this didn’t have the true detective name, if it was the exact same show but called something else, it wouldn’t have gotten anywhere near the amount of attention it has gotten… not as a good show or even as a bad show imo. It’s just… mid. Failing to live up to the true detective pedigree is its biggest crime but the ratings were there so what do I know?

While I'll admit there are some cringe right wing types who make a living complaining about anything "woke", who might actually have a problem with women leads, the great majority hate this show because it really is that bad and were actually looking forward to Jody foster in TD.
The delusional fans keep using the sexism excuse to justify the glaring flaws. This show was Netflix quality at best.

Show was better than Season 2 and 3. Simple as that. My one gripe I guess would be that using the line "time is a flat circle" kind of cheapened it. Like you hardly connected the seasons. I thought the cinematography, story, acting, etc. was pretty damn good.

I have a soft spot for season 3, mahershala Ali’s performance was incredible and I liked the cinematic tricks they used to depict his struggles with Alzheimer’s

@@YeOldeNerdcast I agree. It, season 4 isn't THAT far ahead of 3 IMO...Season 3 was just a much slower burn. Mahershala Ali has been amazing in everything I've seen him in. Biggest mistake the writers of Luke Cage did was kill him off so early. Dude knows how to play a good villian.
