Too bad the participants had little time to drive home their views. I think the most important aspect that was not discussed is the fact that most of the Nigerian Army Commanders became rich beyond their wildest imagination after the Biafran war.
Obasanjo is the biggest thief in Africa, his colleagues namely General T. Y. Danjuma, General Ibrahim Babangida, late General Abacha stole all the oil wells in what would have been Biafra and gave it to their family, friends and even girlfriends. When you talk of decades of bad leadership in Nigeria, these wicked war criminals are at the forefront. Presently, one of them, Gen. Buhari, is lying half-dead in London hospital and has refused to resign as president. In short, Nigeria has not recovered from the Biafran war as these war criminals are steal in charge of sharing the loot till this day.

What are the nine best publications on Biafra, Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa and the European construct called Nigeria? I am all for the eradication of alien constructs attitudes behaviors and nation states in our homeland. However, I would not support the making of any nation under Rothschild money system of enslaving melanin dominant humans. I will support absolutely independent territorial nation states with the legal tender owned by the people and the state. No country in Africa is independent. Rothschild owns the money used as legal tender in every African country. No African leader has stood for immediate freedom of our people. A number of them with independence mindsets from Shaka to Sankara were murdered by our people on the behalf of the global super predators. Nigeria is a flawed construct as are every nation in Africa. Not one of the nations of Africa is founded on the philosophy of Ancestral consciousness and practices of our ancestors. they are Arab, European and Zionist constructs. When then is Biafra?

You mean women and children from both sides?
Okay, since after the civil war, what has really been done to pull the Biafrans back to Nigeria and to forget about Biafra?
The killing of Igbo civilians have continued, the destruction of their properties and businesses continued and policies and constitution are made to disadvantage the Biafrans.

Al Jazeera, that you very much for this coverage .I am very sure Biafra will have a very good working relationship with Quatar for foundational core value of liberation the oppressed people of this world.
It is worthy of note that Igbos fought for the independence of Nigeria for the enjoyment of the Hausas and their cohorts;Igbos fought for the stoppage of slave trade in Africa;Igbos slaves fought for the liberation of slaves in most of the coutries they were taken to. It is in the nature of the Igbos to fight injustice in any form where ever it exists. So Igbos are active also in fighting for the liberation and freedom of all Biafrans. The reason being that those we helped to liberate from the hands of the British colonialists have suddenly become oppressors and enemies of liberty ,freedom and social upliftment of the masses

Truth be told, we Nigerians must sit down to have a conversation about the future of the country not the least whether people of the Igbo ethnic extraction would like to remain part of the entity called Nigeria.
Agitation for Biafra, decades after the brutal 1966 - 70 civil war, subject of the AJSTREAM programme, may not be the solution. Like every other tribes, feelings of marginalisation is rife through out the country. And I agree with @drdamages that it's all about failure of leadership. On the periphery, an average Nigerian is comfortable remaining part of the country. It's the politicians that are responsible for the current agitation.
As panacea, I'll propose reverting to the existing structure under which the colonialists left Nigeria in October 1960. From that point, we can sit down together and discuss if after about 60 years of independence, the union should continue and on what terms.

Restructuring should be inserted into our reforms at this time and eventually get to a palatable Resolution.

Except Rudolph and Peter Obi, they're all high. Biafra will end up having the same problems Nigeria has. My thoughts on Kanu.. well that's for another day despite the fact he has no real political nor economic philosophy for a state. All the agitation yet no one has mentioned anything about an economic plan for the supposed Biafran state. Trade agreements are not talked about, no mention of anything like a constitution or government structure or even monetary policy. Just blind talk about Biafra. I don't think we even focus on recent history. It would be funny to actually finally have a Biafran state then watch it ultimately become a pariah like South Sudan. Nigeria's problem is poor leadership (igbo leaders included) and short-sightedness with decision making nothing more. All the ethnic stuff is bs honestly. Everyone is suffering.
