It’s disgusting how good he is
Well...he is a professional, after all. This is how he pays his rent. No room for slacking off. Refreshing that he's so matter of fact about it. Just another working man, who put in the practice and grind to reach this level of skill. I have occasionally hit a golf shot that purely, but it was totally accidental. Feels good...
@@bstokie13 Just won his second green jacket. The opposite of meh.
@@bstokie13 not even a good troll attempt
@@bstokie13 he just smoked all liv has to offer...by a large margin...run along lil boy
I hate him
Puts it to 5 ft. “That’s another shot I’d be happy with”😂
"pretty good."
“Just trying to get a look, not trying to be perfect.” *hits perfect shot every time*
Man - Scottie is really good at this. Not a lot of people are so comfortable talking through their process. I’m impressed.
This is unreal. Can't wait to watch him this week.
this aged well
@@sneak1252 This too
We might be witnessing the making of golf's all time GOAT. He possesses a unique temperament not really seen before. Deeply competitive, but having no real obsession with the outcome.
Great advice to hear from a tour pro, visualize starting the ball in the middle and work it towards the pin. He's so good right now with his irons, I really think he will win the Masters. Thanks for the video. It's funny to hear a tour pro talk through their shots, I feel like I think more when hitting than a guy who does this for a living.
If you're like me you probably drink more as well. :)
He did.
I’m a +1 and picked up so much value from this video. Thank you Scottie for being willing to share your insights! Love your mindset.
Guy is unreal. Saw him live at the Masters this year and was blown away. So good he even skipped a ball across the water during the practice round.
He is amazing, but almost all pros can skip balls on the water.
A genius at managing his misses. You can see exactly why he has the highest GIR on tour
155y out. “Worse case scenario, I’m on the green.” Me? That’s best case scenario. Worst case scenario is me hitting again from 150y. I do enjoy listening to SS about his thought process. Then watch him play I understand a little better whats he’s up to.
ahaha 🤣
if you're about to hit 155 yd shot and have a chance of hitting 5 yds give up golf 🤣
@@jeffyboi6969 never duffed a shot? “Worse case scenario” … work on your reading comprehension, and try harder next time.
@@jeffyboi6969 not only is your reading comprehension impaired, so is your ability to tell the truth. Try harder.
@@jeffyboi6969you are a class a moron. I’ve seen some really good golfers too balls that go five yards, or screw up a tee shot and the ball doesn’t leave the tee green. This is a gentleman’s game and 99% who play it are kind and caring, and accepting of others, regardless of how good they are. You should stay far away from this game. You’re an embarrassment.
Brilliant to listen to world class players discuss how they think and plan!
What a talent that boy is! Frightening 👏👏👏
Beautiful shots, thoughts, amazing Athlete, I never meet him, but hearing about him and watching him play, no wonder he's a fan favorite, but the most important thing is he's an incredible Athlete and just as good as a person, which means everything to me.Take the golf out of the equation and you have a great human being. That's why he's one of my favorite golfers to route for, Congratulations on the Masters victory, well deserved.
What a phenomenal video. Very simple and just very helpful.
just an absolute beast
Scottie is insanely good! Go get that 2nd Masters title Scottie!
Thank You Scotty! Always rooting for you...and Bryan Bros of course.
We’re watching greatness.
One of the best for sure
Such a great player!
An absolute machine 👍
Ready to see him playing in the Masters
The Shuffler 🕺
The dudes swing is absolutely iconic already. It's beautiful if I'm being honest.
enjoy watching the future two time masters champ here
Your prediction was right on the money 👍👍
I'd like to think this is all one take, cause that would be the MOST IMPRESSIVE IRON DISPLAY ON CZcams! calling your exact shot 3 times in a row to that proximity..... wow.
Scheffler - so good! 👍
TaylorMade video editing team - not so good: You forgot to "unfreeze" the flags on the green at Schefflers third shot (5:28)😁👌
Such a great video. Thank you.
Like the way Scottie takes the pressure of himself when attacking the pin .And then let's his talent take over and get it close. Lesson for Rory there!
My process from 160 yards out (after my second shot on a par 4) - 5 iron, aim about 30 degrees left to compensate for my slice. Pray that I get it within 25 yards of the green so I can chip it on and 3 put my way for a triple bogey.
Too real 😂
When he burst onto the scene a lot of us thought the bubble would soon burst. Nope, he has proven that he is the real deal, both mentally and skillfully. Only thing is, I don't see amateurs trying to copy his swing 🙂
What's so crazy about his swing? Its quite ordinary.
@@mrfatuchi I'm referring to the Sheffler Shuffle
Committing to the shot once you pick the club, starting point and shape is hugely underrated. He’s got a nine iron so yes, he’s looking to have a birdie look when done.
Awesome lesson! Thank You Scottie and Taylormade! Julie Van Herron sent me 🙌
SICK!
I remember when was considered 5th in his rookie class behind im, hovland, wolff and Colin. What a rise to the top of that group but the entire golf world
I like learning this mindset
Wow. 😮. Amazing 👏👏
He just had an iron clinic yesterday on the second nine at The Masters, too.
This dude is just cool as ill draw this, ill cut that bang hits it, boom nails it. Biggest asset is his clarity in thinking process as calm and cool as anyone out there.
Fabulous. And, very good that you are asking players to do swing clinics. Whilst it may not be something that they would normally do I think they enjoy it; and, enjoy it all the more for be being asked to share their knowledge of the game. They all come over incredibly well; and, their vids are the best swing vids to learn from. Watch swing vids uploaded by modern day coaches and they will lose you with their techno babble. The only enduring swing lesson I had, when starting out, was when i went to a Tony Jacklin swing clinic, the week before he beat Lanny Wadkins to win the German open. Many great golfers knowledge of the game has been lost down the years. But, you are ensuring that doesn't happen anymore. It would be a really great idea if players got together and discussed instructional manuels like the pga manuel or the Hogan book or extracts from the Bobby Jones video. Quite remarkably a lot of the things that Jones said about the game have been overlooked.
After watching this, I’ve just put my life savings on him winning at the weekend.
😮 So did you? 😊
What a very talented athlete. Super impressive. Worlds #1. Go figure.
Masters week.. Let's see some magic!
It’s great having Scottie. He is Jack Nicklaus 2.0 more than Tiger Woods 2.0. With that being said, over a longer career, you could easily see him even surpassing Tiger in majors count..
He’s so damn good!!
Preposterously skilful. But to me the most impressive thing is the clarity. Unlike me, he’s never standing over the ball feeling uncertain about what he’s doing.
Champ 🏆
soooo freaking good. play to middle of every green your scoring avg will go way down
The amount of things these guys take into consideration is crazy. As a 8 handicap, I'm just trying to hit the green with my most consistent shot lol.
and that's why he's the number 1 player the world.
Can't imagine what it feels like to be able to pure every shot and shape a ball exactly as you want
pure!
Does it just like JN with very simple thoughts and knowing his game and conditions. Trusts it. Simple but not easy.
The thing I admire the most about Scottie is his love of God and his walk of faith.
Rory should watch this and adopt Scottie’s creativeness and conservatism
just stupid good. like he went up there and placed it with his hands.
He may end up being the goat. A little later on the scene than Tiger but he’ll be out there for the next 20 years killing it.
This man golfs his ball.
Awesome Scottie. Now I just need to swing like the best player in the world and I'll have it.
might go down as the greatest ball striker of all time. fella is nasty
Kinda caught me off guard when he was "between" clubs from 161 out...a wedge or a 9 iron, I doubt those blades have jacked lofts. Incredible talent!
Wouldn’t mind watching the same scenario(s) from Rory. SS talks about aiming at the middle of the green and working it towards the flag…seems safe/sensible for someone who strikes the ball so well. Does Rory always go for the flag, hence him missing greens so often with a wedge/9i in his hands?
Rory is heavily draw player whose fade is more manipulated and doesnt come naturally. Looks like SS can shape shots without any crazy manipulations
Wow. This guy could be really good one day.
Bros so good that even his mic has the same sound every rep
that's a 6 iron for me. Crazy.
What is this attack zone? Never seen it on the course personally.
Scottie Scheffler: good at golf.
Sometimes you just hit a bad shot and go figure it out from there 😂 story of my golf career
Sometimes I play a decent round of golf then I watch videos like this and feel like shit about my golf game
He talks about hitting the ball like I think about parking my car in the garage… no problem. Problem is when I’m playing golf, it’s like me trying to back a tractor trailer into a stall (and I can’t drive a tractor trailer)!
was this shot at apogee?
Curious how nowbody is playing thru? Where are the regular players?
Golfers make some mess of courses these days. How not to dig up the course would be a great video.👍
Makes me sick on how good he is, such of different swing and foot work just to prove you do not need to play by the book. Just an amazing player.
Its all about IMPACT …arguably. 😁
whats hitting a 9i, 161 yards like?
3 world class shots: "I'd be happy with that" Dude has ice in his veins 200yds and in.
Dudes proximity to the hole is closer from 170 yards than mine is from the fringe
I play exactly like Scotty… except the hitting the green part
not cash not crypto-just pure gold
“At the worst on the green…” which is the goal for most mortals. Lol
He’s not bad with his distances is he, outstanding……….
I think Taylormade meant to say "undeniably the best iron player in golf"
This is what separates Scottie from Rory; Scott doesn't seek perfection and manages every shot perfectly; Rory goes for the kill shot on every swing.
Step 1: Identify the best spot on the green to hit the ball to
Step 2: Hit the ball there
So…I can do these things with a pitching wedge and 9 iron also…from 120-130 yards. At 161 yds I’m hitting a 6-5 iron, and it’s SIGNIFICANTLY more difficult.
I'm still stuck on the 174 yard 9 iron
One yard draws and cuts on command. Not bad 😂
Ok. Now; how would you hit the shot if you delivered the club to the ball with an open face 60% of the time and you hit it off the toe 50% of the time and it might be thin or fat, you really have no idea. How would you play that?
man i am definitely no where near good enough to pretend I am learning something that I can actually implement in my game here lol
And that’s how you win 2 green jackets within 3 seasons
Whhhhhhaaaaaaaat the actual Faaaa. This guy is using vibranium clubs i’m sure of it.
This should come with a “do not try this at home” warning 😂
"that would be another shot I'd be really happy with"
The bloke is unreal......
“Basic principles”
He’s kinda good
No where in this video does he explain how he hits these shots though
the GOAT
