That Hanover story should be a series like how BMF got they series. It’s too much history wit that hood alone in DC for it to be a movie. A movie in my opinion wouldn’t do it justice. I think that would have the potential to be an award winning series. Real talk

Ian gon lie, growing up I never even knew black people lived in DC, but seeing all these channels and getting caught up on the history of Chocolate city, I gotta say y’all make it look the best, besides the crime and shit I think DC one of the only prosperous cities that have a predominantly black population, Atlanta can’t even fuck with DC fr, DC authentic and I love that for y’all fr, I’m 23 and I look at it a lil different I guess but much love to y’all out there and stay Black💯

I had a chance to go there in January and I loved it. Granted it was just to the African American Museum and other tourists attractions I loved it. I wanted to touch the areas where these good men come from just to see it and feel it. I kept thinking of all the docs I watched on the city thinking I’m really in DC experiencing some of this history & culture

The ppl that didn't come from that culture may see the different things or ppl that we looked up to or admired as "glorifying" the drug game... They got it wrong... We admired the character of some of these guys, despite the product or industry... One of my favorite movies of all time is The Godfather... Not bcuz of the killings, illegal activity, etc... It was Vito's principles, his family values, his knowledge & wisdom on how to move or conduct yourself, when to speak, etc... Most of the dudes who had "successful" runs during the Golden Era aka the 80s, were business minded and that's what attracted most of us who admired them... That spirit of entrepreneurship is what most of us are now waking up to today... They understood in the 80s, what we're embracing now... They just didn't have the same legal resources available like we do now... Shout out to all of the stand-up dudes from the 80s, that couldn't settle for a 9 to 5, but chartered a way to take care of their families 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿... If you're from that era and you're still around and functional, THIS IS YOUR TIME !!!
