Yes, I love Dun Laoghaire too, always did since I was a child. I heave a lot of memories of Dun Laoghaire. The whole of Dublin isn't what it was the last few years...something nefarious is going on.
Unfortunately, many places are not the same as they used to be years ago. However, Dun Laoghaire is still lovely, and I go almost every week, especially now in the summer. If you have a chance, you should definitely go and maybe make new memories.
