      I AGREE!!! Go back to the good old days where you can just hop on a plane and stay visa free up to 30 days there. None of this having to be Vaxed, One health pass, insurance, testing. I'd be cool with just having to show proof of a negative covid-19 test but soon all this needs to seriously go away. It's ridiculous!

      Yes. And because tourism is such an important part of their economy, you'd think the government would see that the tourist rate is way down from pre-covid times, and the country is losing big foreign dollars!!!

    One thing about the Philippines is it takes 10 steps to complete a 1 step process and of course each step cost pesos. For every law or regulation written one month it will be changed next month but still peso charge for both. My advice is don't concern yourself with anything that's written within 30 days, it will change and most important make sure you have plenty of pesos because that's what really matters 👍

    Last time I flew there I stayed there for 10 month . I had no issues going through customs .I showed them that I had a exit flight set up to return back to the US . I was asked where I was staying and what was my reason for such a long stay .I told them the Condo I would be staying at and that I was flying back to see my Fiancée .. I was asked her name and was granted entry .All I had to do was to go to the Bureau of Immigration in Cebu and keep my Visa up by extending it . When I exited I again needed to go to the Bureau of Immigration to get a security check done so I could exit . I had get 2 or three of them. When I picked up my clearance for the final time I was greeted with smile and was told I was welcome to come back .. The way it sounds now that if I fly back I must show a exit flight plan set for 59 days from my arrival date. I have heard I could just fly to another country and return.. But that gets costly The throw away ticket too . I just stay past the 59 days and rebook a flight when I am ready to leave ..I just keep my Visa updated . I much rather book around trip ticket and not play the games .. The one health pass needs to be dropped too. As of now I am just waiting on Fiancée's K-1 Visa to process .. might be a long time before I fly back.. I flew out of Cebu the 21st of Mar 2020 .. ...

      Why pay all this money? Throw away tickets, insurance, airplane ticket, hotels, food, transportation, now twice as expensive as before covid. Much cheaper to go elsewhere! Also way to complicated! When I go to Mexico they don't even check! If I want to go farther inland it's $30 for a six month visa given in 20 minutes or less...way to much bureaucracy to visit Philippines, I'm just a tourist not a businessman trying to open a business?

    What I wish the Philippine Immigration Law would change… is to allow dual citizenship to a American citizen born in the Philippines and who had lived there for almost short of 24 Years and mother is a former Filipina citizen. Not just base it on born after January 17, 1973 😪 I love the Philippines, so I hope this law changes and allow dual citizenship even if the Father was not the former Filipino citizen and just because I was born before Jan 17, 1973 .😪

    This video presents far more stressful questions than necessary...is it the idea is to hook you into to future videos? This proposal has been around before the pandemic. I doubt that it will be signed anytime soon due to the huge bureaucratic restructuring that would need to take place. There is no expressed intent to change extensions, visa on arrival etc.. although DU30 was fairly anti-US and threatened to remove USA visa on arrival a few times. Never happened.

    • @AdventuresinAmericaUSA1
      @AdventuresinAmericaUSA1  Před 2 lety +2

      The proposal passed House of Representatives in September 2021 and went to Senate on third reading on January 2022. Once it passed Senate, it just needs to be signed by the President. Once signed, it will be published for 15 days in the Official Gazzette before it takes effect as law. It is just a matter of time. But the visa on arrival most likely will still remain the same. Extensions are discretionary and depending on your purpose. The current law was passed in the 1940's so it is a really old law.

    Pettiness, over-the-top extremes, including regulations and demands, non-sensical authoritative ridiculousness...spells the Philippines; the politicians and gov't there are so out-of-touch with humanity, despite being a poor, third-world nation. Reason and logic does not rate high in the Phils. Common sense is not even remotely common. Now, for many reasxons, that country should open their pearly gates to nearly everyone or anyone to save their economy and starving people. Move past Covid and exercise reasonable thought and actions.

    So, if I understand correctly, as long as you have a flight showing you are leaving within 30 days of arrival in the Philippines, you can just get an extended tourist visa as long as it's 6 months or less. Is that correct. I'm from USA. I'm hoping to arrive in late June (26th) and leave in mid August (18th??). I think that's the way it used to be. I'm just visiting my girlfriend again and hoping I can stay that long. Also, how much is it to get an extended tourist visa? I'd only need 2-3 weeks since I know I can stay 30 days without a tourist visa
