Dany’s Gibson Explorer guitar was a gift from Lzzy Hale of Halestorm. Lzzy surprised Dany with the guitar on stage between songs. She secretly had the guitar made to Dany’s specifications in recognition of her talent with the guitar. The 2014 cover of Enter Sandman when they were kids was more faithful. Metallica told them to rework Enter Sandman with Canadian singer Alessia Cara for the Blacklist album. Keep the lyrics, but make the song their own. This is that song they did with Alessia for Metallica.

During Lzzy's first tour (2005), her guitar broke down. Jason Todd from the band Shinedown and Seether gave her the Gibson. Lzzy thought it was a loan and wanted to give it back. But Jason said no, because he had previously bought the guitar as a gift. If Lzzy ever met another guitarist who impressed and inspired her, she was to pass the Gibson on. Well, apparently Lzzy didn't take it lightly, because it took her 18 years to do it...I think that says a lot about Dany's talent. 😉
@@DakrWingDuck just take a moment to think about it. Dany is amazing and is still ‘evolving’. When the day comes that she finally meets that person, for her to do what Lzzy did for her, it will be someone who will be extraordinary. I can see Dany already inspiring a lot of kids to follow in her footsteps. I may not live to see that day, but my son will!

That guitar was a gift from Lzzy Hale of Halestorm - she had it custom made for her and gave it to her on stage during The Warning's set when they were supporting Halestorm.

Alessia Cara is a Grammy winning Canadian Pop and R&B singer... they had 10 days to rip this rendition of *Enter Sandman* from the ether and make it a darker, more eerie, and a more haunting lullaby than the original metal version... this was done because they, and many other artists from numerous genres, were invited by Metallica to take one of the songs from the original "Black" album, keep the lyrics and change it up how ever you like... play it backwards, upside down, whatever... this was all for the 30th anniversary of the "Black" album... all the submissions from 50someodd artists were put on the 2021 "The Metallica Blacklist" album... the proceeds from the album sales are split 50/50 with half going to Metallica's "All Within My Hands Foundation" and the other half being donated to a charity of the participating artists' choice.
in the OMV, Dany (guitar) and Alessia share the lead vocals until they are in the three doorways when Dany takes over and Alessia does more of the background oooohs and aaaahs... the version they play in concert has Dany doing the vocals with a backing track of Alessia's ohhhs and ahhhs... of course Ale (bass) and Pau (drums) join in with their angelic harmonies in both... this is a fantastic reimagining of the iconic original... this 60+ year old rocker loves both versions of *Enter Sandman* but this one by TW and Alessia gets more airtime these days 😹

Not James Hattfield's signature guitar. Same Gibson explorer but this was a special tailored for her Explorer direct from Lzzy Hale. It was hand delivered to Dany of The Warning by Lzzy mid-concert in August of 2022. Lzzy walked right on stage mid-show and handed Dany this guitar and told her to play the hell out of it... and she does!

This one is way more than a cover and was created with Alessia Cara in just 10 days for the Metallica Blacklist album (first track on the record).

They have done like 5 versions of this song. Last Oct they did a couple shows with a string section of a symphony orchestra backing them.

It’s a great rendition of this song. Metallica liked it quite a bit to put it as the first track for their 30th anniversary album “Blacklist”. Remember they are still very young, at the time of this concert they were: Alejandra 17 (Bassist). Paulina 20 (Drummer), Daniela 22 (Guitarist).

Although it is the best cover for me, it is the first because Enter Sandman was the first track on the Black Album and because the artists are in alphabetical order (Alessia Cara and The Warning). No preference from Metallica, that would be disrespectful to the other artists.

The bass she plays here Spector actually sells it as “Ale’s Inferno”
@@rodneyramirez603 it’s not exactly the same. Hers is custom made, 5 string. The one they sell is 4 string without some of the extras she has on it. But, it has the same color. Probably hers would cost like $2,000 more or more.
